Chapter 38: Griffins vs Yoake

There was once a soldier, a weak soldier back in the old world where the Magikill declared war on the entire human race. He was on the side of the human race, battling against the Magikill. He did not fight for his nation's freedom, but instead in order to survive. One day, he found a cursed sword in the ruins of Chaos. Together with his sword, he soared up the ranks and become the strongest general in the entire faction. Even his mere name was enough to make the strongest of soldiers shake in their boots. After the great war, he became a villian due to his inner dark desires. His name was 'Kotex the god of death and the devourer of souls'. 

15th March, 4.33pm

"Surrender to us now!" The Masked man or Kotex shouted.

"Kotex? Isn't that the most dangerous villain in history? Impossible! He died centuries ago! " Kim exclaimed.

"Oh I am alive alright, alive and well." Kotex said under his mask.

"In that case, he I would have to kill you, I will save everybody from you!" Kim shouted.

"Alright, you are free to fight all five of us." Kotex said in a sinister tone. 

"This is my fight!" Kim shouted at the top of his lungs and took stance with his new spear. 

At that moment, four familiar figures jumped from behind Kim and landed next to him. 

"No, it is our fight." Kim turn around and to his delight, it was his team. 

"I thought you were the one who said that we should stick together." Ace said with a smirk. 

"You are always the reckless type aren't you?" Mark said with a sigh.

"As expected of our leader." Elizabeth said. 

"I thought I said that you will only die by my arrow. Why are you going in to suicide fight?" Grace mumbled while having a slight blush on her face. 

"You guys. Alright! This time is five on five!" Kim exclaimed.

"You insolent fool, there is no such thing as fate. Go on Yoake, let's have some fun!" Kotex shouted and Yoake rushed towards battle. 

"I'll take on my brother!" Ace shouted and rushed towards Siegfried.

The fight seems even. Ace is taking on his brother, Siegfried. Mark is trying to take on the giant, Min, he is obviously struggling. Grace is in a heated sniper battle with Irithel the Archidon. And Elizabeth is taking on Rosemarie the dark mage. Kim is fighting Kotex, the Hero Of Light versus the Villian Of Darkness. 

"Come on Hero Of Light, I am a very busy man." Kotex said and his cursed sword, Akumu materialised in his hand.

"Kotex, I will cut you down, to save everyone." Kim said and readied his holy spear.

They then clashed, sword and spear fighting for dominance. Kotex swung his cursed sword like a maniac, his strikes as fast as lightning.

Thanks to the yellow dragon, Kim is able to see his moves clearly. Kim parried all of his strikes and tried to go for a clean pierce into Kotex's stomach.

However, Kotex's fast reflexes caught Kim off guard. Kotex swiftly dodged Kim's spear and went for a slash in Kim's shoulder. 

'Damn it!  Once that sword scratched me, it's all over.' Kim thought to himself.

The cursed sword, Akumu has the power to make his victims feel the pain and suffering of his previous victims, thus dubbed as the cursed sword. So if Kim gets even a slight injury from Akumu, he will be immobilised.

Kim barely dodged Kotex's slash and went for a counter attack on his face. Kim used his left hand to grab onto Kotex's sword to atop it and trusted his spear into his mask. 

'This is it!  I won!' Kim thought.

It was as if time stopped, Kim's spear was about to hit the mask when suddenly, Kotex moved at monstrous speed, dodging Kim's spear and freed his sword. He then got a large slash in Kim's stomach.

Kim screamed in pain, almost blacking out from the pain. After a few seconds, Kim started to experience the after effects of Akumu. He could hear the cry and begging of tortured souls, tormenting him. Kin grabbed onto his head and started to scream in a horrific way. 

"Kim!  Hang on!" Ace shouted while dodging a strike from his brother.

"Come on Ace,  don't lose your focus on me!" Siegfried shouted.

Kim got to his knees and dropped his spear, looking at the large gash in his stomach he received from the cursed sword.  He looked up and saw Kotex swinging Akumu to finish the job. Kim's head was about to roll on the ground.

Just at that moment, a giant roar was heard from the forest. Yoake and the Griffins stopped fighting and turned to the source. Coming from the forest, a giant showed up with a club and started to attack Yoake.

"What the hell?!" Mark exclaimed. 

"Where did this giant come from?!" Elizabeth shouted. 

"Nevermind that,  it is on our side!" Ace shouted. 

"Kim!" Grace exclaimed and rushed towards him.

Kim grunted in pain as Akumu's after effects starts to wear off. He could no longer hear the suffering, but could still feel pain in his stomach.

"Come on you stupid dragon, heal me!" Kim thought.

At that moment, Kim's wounds starts to close,  his wounds were healing rapidly. Grace looked at Kim in shock,  how is this possible? Grace then took a look at his left eye and saw that it is golden in colour. 

The random giant is still holding Yoake off, swinging his club like a mad man.

"Yoake,  retreat!" Kotex commanded and Yoake disappeared into the forest.
The Griffins have a sighed of relieve, they almost died. It was thanks to the giant that they survived.

"Thank you mister giant, what is your name and where did you come from?" Mark asked. 

The giant turned around and spoke.

"My name is Aramis and I need help for my people."
