Few days had passed, and training got tougher. But nothing really changed, I still feel weak, pathetic. They started teaching us complex elemental skills, and they were really hard to master. I can hardly make one water golem. This is really frustrating, and I expect myself to avenge my parents with my pathetic ability. I'm weak, no scratch that, I'm useless, I'm a burden to everyone, I always get myself hurt whenever we train. Sigh, I was never gifted with talent, I'm not like Chaeyoung or Dahyun, I'm a nobody.
I went to the backside of the Institute. Today, the instructor told us to do whatever we want, obviously signalling us to train by ourselves. I continued to practice my elemental abilities and I always fail miserably. I tried summoning another water golem, and guess what? It blew up. I fell down, butt first. I got up and rubbed my back. I can't hold it anymore.
"AISH! THIS IS ANNOYING. WHY IS THIS SO HARD. I HAD ENOUGH." I screamed.
"Do you mind if I help you?" I was startled, that voice is very unfamiliar.
"W-Who are you?" I looked back, seeing a person I've never seen before.
Third Person POV
"Do you mind if I help you?" The girl who suddenly appeared out of nowhere asked.
"W-Who are you?"
Tzuyu was startled, she looked back and saw a girl a bit shorter than her, she had dark brown hair which fades to a lighter shade of brown at the end. She was wearing something different, it seemed like she was from the other building of the Institute. She was unfamiliar to the girl so she took a step back, entering her fighting stance. 'She seems like a threat but she looks like she's too nice to hurt somebody' Tzuyu thought. The other girl chuckled and stepped forward.
"D-Don't come any closer!" Tzuyu stuttered, ready to cast a spell.
"Calm down, please? I'm here to help you, not to fight you." The girl giggled.
"Why should I trust you? I've never seen you here before." Tzuyu retorted.
"Silly, I'm an instructor from the other Institute, don't worry." She smiled.
"O-Okay then. What's your name?" Tzuyu calmed down, leaving her fighting stance.
"I'm S-Sana, and you are?" She replied, mentally facepalming at her stupidity. She was too late to realize that she said her real name.
"Tzuyu, nice to meet you." Tzuyu smiled, not noticing the change in Sana's voice.
"So you're having trouble with summoning huh? Here's the technique. You should.." Sana started.
They started training and Sana continued to teach Tzuyu different strategies in summoning, obviously she didn't do it herself because she can't summon a water golem, she can't control water. This would blow up her cover so she insisted that she can only explain because she can't use her ability, since she had just recovered from a sickness. Luckily, Tzuyu believed her alibi. They continued to train until it was getting dark, they agreed to stop for the day.
"Thank you for your help Sana ssi!" Tzuyu bowed, expressing her gratitude.
"How many times did I tell you? Drop the honorifics, and you're welcome." Sana replied, forcing Tzuyu to stand straight.
"Okay, Do you want to go home together?" Tzuyu asked.
"N-No, it's okay I still got things to do." She replied.
"Alrighty then, I'll see you next time then, Sana!" And with that, Tzuyu walked off, slightly skipping.
"Aish that kid, why is she so cute, ugh. Sana FOCUS." Sana mumbled, mentally slapping herself.
Sana started to walk away, she changed her clothes and quickly hid on a tree. She, then used her ability to turn invisible. She was tasked to scout on the enemy side, and Sana did not disagree since it was a very easy task for her. She was supposed to SCOUT, and only to SCOUT. But her clumsiness took over. She later realized that she was behind a tall girl. She got intrigued by her, so she slowly followed her to the backside of the Institute. She chuckled, knowing the girl was having trouble. Unconsciously, she walked to the girl and asked if she wanted help. She facepalmed at her stupidity, she blew her cover. But she was surprised that the girl did not recognize her. Again, her clumsiness took over when she told her name. But she's lucky The Order only knew their codenames.
"Aish idiot, next time focus on scouting." Sana scolded herself.
She was walking slowly, carefully dodging people passing by so they wont stumble and freak out. She made it out of the gate, and she grinned proudly. She removed her invisibility and continued to walk back to Chaos
"Mission success, s-sort of." She chuckled.
"Tzuyu huh?" She smiled, remembering the girl. "Why am I oddly attracted to you, just who are you?" she mumbled, entering Chaos' domain.
Tzuyu's POV
Ahhh finally, I'm home. That was exhausting, but I learned a lot because of Sana. Wait, Sana... That girl seems so different, but she's so unique. She's clumsy, talkative, but she's caring, I can sense that she's a nice person. I can actually summon two water golems now, because of her. I should treat her to something once we see each other again. Aish I can't wait. Just then, my thoughts were interrupted by a small child. Yes, that annoying small child. She sent me floating, yet again. Argh I hate this kid.
"HEY SON CHAEYOUNG PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed.
"Not until you tell me where you were the entire day, we were searching for you everywhere." Chaeyoung smirked.
"YES FOR GOD SAKE I WAS WORRIED SICK." Jihyo shouted.
"Unnie keep it down, your normal voice is loud enough already." I snickered.
"Stop dissing me and start explaining." Jihyo glared at me, sending shivers down to my spine. Wow she's scary.
"O-Okay fine fine, I trained... behind the Institute." I explained, spilling everything, except for one thing.
"Were you alone?" She eyed at me, god she's really scary.
"U-Uh, Y-Yeah I was." I confessed, while stuttering. Great job Tzuyu, you made it obvious.
"Who were you with? I know you're lying" Her eyes never left me, I started to fidget with my hands and looked down.
"U-Uhm, S-Sana?"
"Who's that? Never heard of her." Dahyun butted in, I'm surprised she's interested in our conversation, cough, I mean, scolding.
"She's from the other building of the institute, she said she was an instructor." I explained.
"Tzuyu..." Jihyo looked at me in disbelief.
"Y-Yes?"
"There's no second building, there's only one large building." She explained.
"W-WHAT?! I, how could I fall for her lies." I growled.
"Maybe she's from the other side." Chaeyoung suggested.
"I agree." Dahyun nodded.
"Be careful next time Tzuyu, she could've killed you." Jihyo warned me.
"Okay unnie, but she was really nice, she even taught me how to do different techniques and skills"
"Don't judge a book by it's cover Tzuyu, trust me on this one okay?"
"Y-Yes unnie."
"Now go to sleep, all of you, it's getting late. You only have three more days before the annual evaluation."
"Ne, unnie." We all said in unison.
I walked back to my room, along with Chaeyoung. Suddenly, I remembered Sana. I don't know how should I feel, If I should be angry at her or not.
"Sana..." I mumbled.
