Chapter 14: Haste

Meanwhile, near the riverside. Dahyun's team was up against a group of fire experts. They were able to fend off her team from reaching the other side of the river. Thus, they couldn't provide backup to the other teams. They had no choice but to fight the enemy in front of them. They were outnumbered but they were able take down some of them. They were getting confident that they will win, but things had to get worst. Suddenly, something faster than light passed by them, knocking all of them down.

"S-Shit, what was that?!" Jungkook exclaimed in annoyance.

"I don't know, but she was way faster than Tzuyu in her Lightning form." Somi answered the pissed boy's question.

"Whatever that was. We have to take her down. 'We' meant I by the way." Dahyun joined in, pointing the fact that five of her clones are ready to fight that 'thing.'

"After all, that thing might be one of the enemy's singularity" Dahyun added. "So it's best If I face her."

"Mhm, Got you, we'll take care of the rest then." Somi agreed to Dahyun's plan. She had trust that Dahyun can defeat that beastly thing.

The girl quickly dispersed her clones, leaving one Dahyun. She saw the girl coming after her so she tried to catch her with her ice chains, but she failed miserably. The hasty girl was able to dodge with ease, while doing a counterattack by sending a huge fireball. Dahyun was fast enough to blow the fire away with her wind gust.

"G-Goddamn it show yourself!" Dahyun screamed.

The other girl stopped running and faced Dahyun, with a smug grin on her face. She was wearing a black robe, something similar to what Jeongyeon described to the girl she saw before. But something was different, a name was carved on her right arm. It says 'Momo.' Dahyun realized that she looked like a racoon, but her name was roughly translated to Peach.

"Hi Hi! Let me guess, you're one of the singularity Sana was talking about right? Hmm, Dahyun, was it?" The girl still had her smug grin on her face. "Wait, are you a renegade to the Chaos? You can use ice. That's something."

"No, I'm no renegade. I'm a half blood." Dahyun replied coldly.

"Oh coool!" Momo replied in amusement.

If she can remember, the hidden prophecy had a half blood singularity. So it seemed like she had found the one. She smiled inwardly and faced Dahyun.

"Wait, I'm hungry. Be right back." With that, Momo disappeared.

"W-What? How could she lea-"

Before Dahyun could finish her sentence, Momo was already back, eating a huge jokbal.

"You were saying?" Momo quickly finished her jokbal and faced Dahyun.

"What in the world."

"Figured, I'm that fabulous." Momo snickered.

The girl quick ran fast towards Dahyun's location, kissing the latter's forehead. Dahyun was shocked with the sudden action. But a clone popped out of nowhere and helped her break free from her trance. She gazed at the girl who was now smiling sheepishly.

"Why did you.." Dahyun was about to continue, but Momo cut her off.

"Now that I've marked you, do we really have to fight? I want to sleep already." Momo whined.

"M-Marked? What do you mean?"

"Oh right, you don't know. Never mind then."

The girl sighed and faced Dahyun. She doesn't want to fight the girl because she was too lazy to do so. But she had no choice, or else their plan will fail if Chaos' overseer finds out.
