Chapter 31: Disappearance

Mina and Chaeyoung were left behind. They encountered a few more enemies on their way, so they decided to let Jihyo go first. Going to the Institute, they happened to stumble upon Jeongyeon. So they decided to go together. Jeongyeon said that Nayeon already left, but she promised that she'll continue to gather intel for them. They were close to the battleground's entrance, when a strong earthquake interrupted them.

"Woah. What was that?!" Chaeyoung asked in complete shock.

"I don't know, but we need to hurry." Mina replied.

After the earthquake subsided, they continued to tread forward. Entering the ground, the sight they saw completely shocked them. Taehyung was on the floor, lifeless. While Jihyo was with Sana, trying her best to heal the latter. But what shocked them most is Tzuyu. She was emitting this eerie aura. It was a mixture of darkness and light. Soon, she was releasing lighting. But, the lightning slowly changed in color. From yellow, to black.

"B-Black Lightning?" Jeongyeon said in disbelief.

"Yeah, I can't believe it. A fusion of two elements plus darkness. She's amazing." Mina replied in awe.

Tzuyu took a step forward. "Lightning Movement!" After finishing her step, she quickly disappeared. She popped up behind the hooded man, while leaving a trail of black lightning. She choked the man, while releasing a strong wave of lightning. Releasing the man, she faced Momo, she attempted to set her free, but she was stopped.

"Oh no you don't." The hooded man appeared in front of her.

"What?!" Tzuyu went to face her back, and to her surprise, the body was still there. The alleged 'body' disappeared, leaving a block of wood. "But that's-" Her words were cut off by the man in front of her.

"Nature? Yes. Surprise to see that?" The hooded man laughed hysterically. He slowly removed his hood, revealing his true identity.

"Wait you're.." Tzuyu trailed off.

"Father?" Dahyun barged in.

"Yes it's me Dahyun. If you're curious as to why I can use nature. Let's just say, The Cave of Origin did a great job in exposing the truth to me." He smirked devilishly.

He started chanting words that were unfamiliar to Tzuyu. Soon, a huge white dragon appeared in front of them, followed by a black dragon. The dragons started to rampage inside the grounds. He appeared in front of Dahyun, threatening the latter.

"Come with me my daughter, I'll need your strength." He tried his best to persuade Dahyun.

"No, Never!" Dahyun replied while squirming.

"You're coming with me, or she's going to lose her head right now." He threatened, while holding Momo on her shirt's collar.

"Don't listen to her Dahyun! He's even worst than our overseer!" Momo pleaded.

"Shut up or you're going to die right now!" The man shouted in anger.

"No, don't, please!" Dahyun pleaded, tears were bursting from her eyes. "Okay... I'll join you, only if you release Momo."

"Agreed." He quickly released Momo.

Dahyun stood up and approached the man. The man held Dahyun's hand.

"You'll never regret this decision, my daughter." The man smiled.

"Chaeons! Take Momo with us!" He shouted.

"B-But, our condition!" Dahyun screamed in anger.

"As if I'd listen to you." He started laughing hysterically.
