Chapter 30: Awakening

"Hello, Jeongyeon." Nayeon greeted with no emotions.

"You're alright? Thank goodness." Jeongyeon sighed in relief.

Nayeon quickly dashed to Jeongyeon's side, surprising the latter. She sent a quick punch which sent the other girl flying back. Luckily, Jihyo caught her. She faced Jeongyeon with her poker face. She was acting rather different than before. She was no longer cheerful.

"N-Nayeon, why are you like this?" Jeongyeon asked in disbelief.

No answer.

"Unnie... What happened to you?" This time, it was Mina's turn to ask.

Still, Nayeon did not answer, instead, her body started blazing dark flames. She disappeared from their sight. She reappeared behind Mina, throwing a huge dark flame. Luckily, Chaeyoung was there to stop the fire from touching Mina.

"No one touches her." Chaeyoung glared at Nayeon.

"I'll face her, you go on and carry out our plan. Make sure to contact the others too Mina." Jeongyeon volunteered.

"Be careful Jeongyeon." Jihyo reminded her.

"I'm Yoo Jeongyeon, don't worry." She smiled. "I just have to knock some sense to the girl in front of me." She faced Nayeon. "Now go, before it's too late."

"Mhm." With that, the girls left Jeongyeon with Nayeon.

"It's just you and me this time."

"Tell me what happened to you?" Jeongyeon asked.

Nayeon didn't answer.

"Answer me! I've been dying to see you again, and this is what I get?!" Jeongyeon raged.

Still Nayeon did not answer. Instead, she dashed to the girl talking to her. She sent an uppercut, which send Jeongyeon flying. She chanted a few words and time started to turn back, not just hers, but everything around her 'radius.'

"Time Lapse!"

Her location started to change. She was back to where she was sending an uppercut to Jeongyeon. Again, she sent the girl flying with the uppercut. Although she was able to revert time, the bruises on her enemies does not heal. That only works on her, and people she want to save.

"Shit. I ca-"

Before Jeongyeon could finish her word, time was reverted once more. She was stuck in an endless loop, where Nayeon continued to send her flying with her flaming uppercuts. Until at one point, the girl stopped. Jeongyeon finally felt herself land on the ground.

She was badly bruised, mostly on her chin. She fell flat on the floor. It felt like every part of her body was screaming in pain. She slowly stood up, and faced the girl in front of her. She never had the chance to stop the time since Nayeon was way too fast in casting her time reversal.

"I won't go down, not until you speak to me."

"Nayeon. What happened to you?" Jeongyeon asked worriedly.

The other girl did not respond.

"Please Nayeon, answer me!"

"I LOST, YOU WON. THEY TORTURED ME. WHAT'S EVEN WORST? YOU KEPT BUGGING MY HEAD." Nayeon finally replied angrily.

"AS MUCH AS I WANTED TO CONSIDER YOU AS MY ENEMY, I COULDN'T. I COULD'VE KILLED YOU NOW, BUT I COULDN'T. IT FEELS LIKE I'M KILLING MYSELF AS WELL." She added, moving her gaze down. A teardrop started to trickle slowly from her eye.
