We've learned a lot for the past few days, except for me at least, I'm terribly slow at this. Sadly, the insults on Dahyun got worst day by day. I can see that she's going to explode. I tried my best calm her down, and luckily she never exploded.
Today was the first half of evaluation, we are going to be tested if our skills improved or not. But they are not going to select the ones joining the war, at least, not yet. They're doing this to check if we still have room for improvement or if we are downright horrible. I'm part of the second one, aish.
We walked to the battle grounds, as the other ordians start to prepare. I sat down on the floor, leaning back to the wall. I sighed heavily, Where are the others? And here I am alone, yet again. Just then, 3 people barged inside, gaining the attention of the other ordians.
"Look it's that half breed dog."
"Ugh, she's so disgusting."
"She doesn't deserve to be here."
"I want her to lose, hahaha."
I saw Dahyun looked down, arms clenched. They went to where I was sitting and I quickly comforted Dahyun. Right now, she need us, the bullying is starting to get out of hand, and I feel bad for her since she's not the type to talk a lot, she's embarrassed of her existence. But I told her countless of times that she's unique, she's amazing and she doesn't need to listen to what others think about her.
"Let them be, they're jealous of you." I assured her.
"As if, I'm a disgrace." She retorted.
"You're wrong, stop saying that, don't believe in them." Jeongyeon protested.
"Thanks but, it's not working." She sighed.
"Just believe in yourself Dahyun, I know you're special." I patted her back, trying to comfort her.
"Mhm." The other two nodded in agreement.
Just then, the instructor entered, along with the people who will evaluate us. The noisy ground suddenly became quiet, I can no longer hear insults and gossips about Dahyun, which relieved me. The instructor started to explain the rules and everyone listened intently, including me. With that, the evaluation began.
Not too long after, Jeongyeon was called first. Obviously, with a blink of an eye, she won. Few more battles passed and it was my turn. I was up against a girl, and she looked like she was about to run away. It didn't take long and I actually won. Next to my fight was Chaeyoung's. At first, she was struggling, she was holding back. Later, she had enough and used her special ability. And with that, she won with ease. Hours passed and it was finally Dahyun's turn, we cheered her and bid her good luck.
Third Person POV
It was Dahyun's turn to fight. She was doubting herself, she was scared. People were booing at her. She was up against one of the strongest ordians. She cursed under her breath, knowing that she'll lose not because of her enemy, but because of her self esteem. She couldn't focus, people were screaming "loser" and "you suck." She closed her eyes and tried to calm down. The instructor silenced the other ordians and began the match.
"Ice blast!" She casted, suddenly, burst of ice came out of the ground, she hoped that she got her, but she cursed, her enemy was up above, floating using his wind ability.
"BOOOO!" The others screamed, they were disgusted with Dahyun's use of Ice.
"My turn, pfft. Death's Wind!" The boy placed both of palms together, casting a spell. Suddenly, black wind surrounded Dahyun, she couldn't breath. Slowly the wind came closer and closer, until it caged her.
