Chapter 16: Bailiwick

The girl with bunny teeth smirked, her body was engulfed in dark flames. She took a few step forward and faced the short-haired girl. Everything around them started to burn, and it didn't stop unless otherwise instructed by it's rightful user.

"Now I'm all fired up." She smirked, facing the now shocked girl.

"B-Black f-flames?" Jeongyeon stuttered.

"They're not black, they're dark, you racist."

"Uhh, what?"

"Ugh never mind." Nayeon groaned in frustration.

She quickly threw a flaming ball towards Jeongyeon's direction. The other girl disappeared, she quickly turned around and saw the short haired girl descending from above. Jeongyeon was about to kick Nayeon when the latter reverted time. They were back to the position they were once located. "Dark Retribution!" A burst of dark energy was released by the blazing girl. The other girl was sent flying back. A huge wall of earth appeared behind Jeongyeon. The wall started blazing with dark flames. Without any chance to react, her back hit the wall. She screamed in pain, she was about to stop time when the other girl reverted it first. She was back to the place before the impact.

"W-What the-" Jeongyeon cried out in pain.

The cycle continued, and Jeongyeon's body was badly bruised. Unlike Nayeon, Jeongyeon's body never healed whenever time was reverted. Until one point, She was able to stop time. She landed on the ground, holding her abdomen region.

"Ugh shit, It hurts so bad." She knelt down, panting heavily.

"What should I do, ugh fuck it."

Just then, an idea popped off her head. She quickly sneaked behind the other girl. A huge ball of wind appeared on her right arm. Time started to continue and she quickly released the ball. "Wind's Fury!" Nayeon took a direct hit, sending her far behind. The ball exploded, letting Nayeon fly farther.  She quickly readied a huge vine to grasp on Nayeon. Just like she planned, the other girl reverted time, returning to the spot she was in. The huge vine entangled the girl with bunny teeth, rendering her immobile.

"How did you-"

Jeongyeon quickly cut off her words. "Because I'm smart." She smirked. "Now it's my turn."

A huge tornado appeared in front of her. It started moving forward to where Nayeon was located. The other girl couldn't move, nor revert time. Finally, the tornado was beside Nayeon, which continued to cut her sides. She tried burning the fire but it failed horribly because the wind was too strong. Suddenly, it started raining. It was Jeongyeon's doing. A huge raindrop came from above, landing directly on Nayeon. A few more fell down, hitting the latter continuously. The tornado enlarged, reaching the clouds above. Then, it split into four, surrounding the poor girl in between. Nayeon's body was now filled with cuts. She was reaching her limit, she used to much of her time traveling abilities. She couldn't breath, it was impossible, partly because of the huge vine grasping on her, and the other because of the four huge tornadoes.

"I-Is this t-the end..." She murmured, slowly her vision was starting to get blurry.

Jeongyeon saw the soon-to-faint girl. She quickly stopped time and ran to her direction. She was in front of the girl. With no hesitation, she quickly carried her body and placed her down. Time started to flow once more. Nayeon's eye were about to close when she saw Jeongyeon's worried face.

"W-Why?"

"I still owe you my life." Jeongyeon simply answered.

"Can you come closer?"
