Chapter 23: Dubiety

My eyes fluttered open. An unfamiliar ceiling greeted me. Oh wait, I slept at the guest room with Sana. I smiled remembering what happened yesterday. We were finally official. I yawned and checked my side, only to see that I was alone. Oh? Where is she.

I stood up from the bed and went to the bathroom to wash my face. I checked the mirror and smiled. Suddenly a different image popped out of the mirror and I was startled. The figure smiled at me before disappearing. Who was that? She looked awfully familiar. She had some of Sana's facial features. I shrugged it off, maybe it was just my imagination.

Finishing my business, I went out of the bathroom. I made a few stretches before going out. I walked down the stairs and went straight to the kitchen. My stomach was grumbling so hard, I was craving for pancakes. A sweet melody greeted me when I entered the kitchen. I saw Sana preparing breakfast while singing. Her voice is so heavenly, It was addicting.

Like the sneaky Yoda I was, I tiptoed until I reached her back. I quickly snaked my arms around her waist and pulled her towards me. She flinched because of my action. Aww the cute squirrel got startled.

"Ugh Chewy! You startled me!" Sana whined, while pouting.

"Sorry, I can't help it. Good Morning."

"Morning love." She greeted back.

Sana continued preparing the food. Ahh pancakes, yay. She finished and placed everything on the table. I helped prepare the juice, and other utensils.

"Wait, love?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes, love, You don't like it?"

"N-No, I was just surprised."

"Mhm." She hummed in response.

Just then, everyone started to go down. Jihyo was shocked to see the food prepared. Chaeyoung didn't bother to greet us and quickly went to eat the food like a hungry cub. Dahyun on the other hand, greeted us and went to another table. She summoned a clone and made it feed her, damn. Jihyo shook herself and went to us. I was behind Sana, hugging her from behind.

"You made this?" Jihyo asked in disbelief.

"Y-Yeah. I hope you like it." Sana replied shyly.

Jihyo shook her head, she was doubtful at first, but it disappeared. Instead, a smile crept on her face.

"You didn't have to, you're our guest."

"No, It's okay. It's the least I can do. I've overstayed my welcome anyways." Sana shook her head in agreement.

"Well then, thank you." Jihyo smiled widely.

I made my way to sit beside Jihyo, with Sana beside me. We were holding hands under the table, I just couldn't let her go. Two Dahyuns, and Chaeyoung was in front of us. We silently ate our food, until Chaeyoung blurted out something.

"Hey, Sana, can you tell me more about Mina?"

"Uh, sure." Sana nodded. "Well, she's very quiet. She's used to be an introvert, but lately, she started to change. She's been more outgoing and friendly." She faced Chaeyoung. "And I believe, a certain cub is the reason."

I saw a small blush crept on Chaeyoung's face. I giggled and she quickly hid her blush. She then, faced Sana once more.

"And?"

"She's a penguin. She loves ketchup more than anything in the world." Sana added.

A small frown formed on Chaeyoung's face. "Really? Wow."
