Tzuyu's POV

The sun shone brighter than usual. Birds were flying from above. Their faint tweet echoed throughout the forest. Wind blew the short grass we were sitting at. Trees were towering us like we were ants. A falling leaf brushed through my cheek. Dim rays of light found its way to my soft skin. The scenery was breathtaking. Not to mention, the girl resting on my shoulder was heavenly. I always thought I was lucky to have a beautiful girl like her as the love of my life. I wished for this moment to last longer. But unfortunately, peace never lasted long.

Her eyes started to flutter open. Adjusting from the sudden burst of light, she rubbed her eyes. A small smile crept on her face. I believe we were thinking about the same thing. She moved her head to face mine. Slowly, she moved forward to capture my plump lips. I slowly backed away and moved my gaze to look at her brown doe eyes. Those eyes never failed to drown me.

"Oh, you've awoken." I smiled. I leaned forward to give a quick peck on her forehead.

"Mhm." She nodded her head groggily. I chuckled lightly, she was still sleepy. "How long was I out for Jagi?"

"About three hours?" I answered. "Or more."

"Eh? Why didn't you wake me up?" She burst in annoyance.

Oops. Did I do something wrong?

"Oh God, we didn't train! Goodness Tzuyu!" Nagged by the squirrel beside me. "Not to mention, tomorrow's the war! Pabo-yah!" She started punching me lightly.

"Why are you putting the blame on me?" I retorted. "It's not my fault you fell asleep."

"Oh so you're saying It's MY fault?" The furious girl replied, emphasizing the word 'my.' "Fine then, expect no kisses for the next few weeks. Don't, and I mean Don't you dare cuddle with me." She announced angrily.

"W-What? H-Hey I didn't say it's your fault." I pleaded. Shit, this girl knows my weakness. Ah that's why I love her so much. "I didn't wake you up because you were sleeping peacefully. Plus, you looked like you were tired." I replied honestly. Nope I'm not going to risk anything. Getting deprived of her kisses and cuddles is like starving myself.

"Still, You should've woken me up!" She nagged once more. "Now what are we going to do?" She sighed in annoyance.

"Hey now, calm down." I slowly patted her back. "Let's take the day off. We've trained for the past few days already. Shouldn't that be enough?" I stopped for a moment, before facing the birds that were flying above us. "And besides, we need to rest too."

"But-"

"No buts!" I cut her off. I stood up and patted my back, dusting dirt away. I offered my hand to her, gesturing her to stand up. "Now come on, Let's go have some fun!" I smiled widely.

She was hesitant at first, but she took my hand nonetheless. She stood up and cleaned her back as well. "Where to?" She asked curiously.

"Why aren't you the most curious squirrel that ever lived?" I chuckled. "Of course, it's a secret! Be patient Sachin."

She pouted cutely. Aish I could seriously gobble this squirrel up. "Fine. Hmph."

"You'll love it there." I smiled widely, knowing that she'll surely love that place. Where you ask? I don't know as well. I'm trusting my guts on this one.

Side by side, we started walking through the covered walk. Ah, I never thought being with here was this peaceful. If I could still remember, I'm taking her to a place where I used to stay all the time. Sadly, I haven't been there since I was nine. So I might have forgotten where. My mother used to take me there. She introduced that place to me. But after her death, I stopped going there. The pain was unbearable, and that place made it worst. Now, I'm taking Sana with me. I wanted her to know everything about me, and I wanted her to do the same too.

The trees started to thicken. We were far away from the park. Sounds from different creatures started to echo. I noticed the girl beside me stiffened. With a quick sweep, I snaked my arms around her waist, pulling her closer to me. She moved her gaze to face me, and I did the same. I gave her a smile, assuring her that I was here to protect her. Her body started to relax, which was a good thing.

"J-Jagi, where are we going?" She asked in a worried tone. "I'm scared."

I patted her head lightly. "Don't worry, I believe we're getting close."

"If you say so." She shrugged.

Rays of light started to have a hard time piercing through the thick leaves. Ah, we're close, very close. We continued to tread the bumpy path. Soon, we entered a darker area. Sana's grip started to tighten. She clung to me like a koala. I chuckled lightly and kissed her head.

"We're here." I said simply. The thick trees finally dispersed. We've finally crossed the whispering forest. The glimmering light from the sun greeted us. My reflex kicked in and I covered my eyes quickly. Once I was able to adjust with the sudden change of light, I removed my hand. I took a quick glance to the girl beside me. I chuckled lightly, her expression is priceless.

"Woah." She said in astonishment. Her jaw literally dropped. "This is amazing."

I moved my hand to clutch on her jaw. Slowly, I closed her mouth. "I know, right?" I smiled bitterly.

We were at a cliff, and below us was another thick forest. But that wasn't the reason why she was awestruck. From the horizon, you could see the lights from another city. Humans inhabited the area. They were normal, they were not gifted with some sort of magic. But they were able to live their life normally. No war, no bloodshed, no nothing. They lived in peace. I envied them, I've always wanted to live a normal life.

"What you see there, is a city inhabited by humans." I started to explain things to Sana. "Normies, If you want to call them that." I chuckled lightly, so did she. "They weren't gifted with magic but they were able to live a peaceful life."

"Oh. That's... Amazing." She mumbled lightly.

"That's not the only reason why I took you here." I moved my gaze down, trying my best to contain the tears that threatened to fall from my eyes. "Try looking to your left."

She did as she was told. I hear a faint gasp from her. "Tzuyu..." She cupped my cheeks, gently moving my face so that my eyes could meet hers.

"I'm alright." I smiled bitterly once more. "Come, I'll introduce you to my parents."

She nodded lightly. We took a few steps until we reached my parents' graves. Ah, I could still feel the pain.

"Hi mom, dad. This is Sana, Minatozaki Sana." I said, trying my best to sound strong. "She's my girlfriend!" I croaked, shoot. I couldn't take it anymore. Tears started to flow down. "S-She's an..." I sniffed. "An amazing girl!"

Sana started patting back, trying her best to comfort me. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Chou. I'm your daughter's girlfriend! We're both Singularities, and we were bonded by fate." Stated by the squirrel. "Don't get me wrong though. I've loved her before we were even Singularities!" She chuckled. "I'll protect her with all my heart. I promise! She means the world to me!"

So eventually, we started storytelling with my parents. We told them everything about us. From our first encounter, until our accidental fusion. After our little chit-chat, both of us decided to sit down and admire the view.

"You know why I decided to bury them here?" I asked.

"I have no clue why." She replied, with a hint of curiosity on her voice.

"Well, they were like me. They wanted to live a normal life. So I figured it would be best to bury them here, the place they loved the most." I replied, chuckling bitterly.

"Ahh I see." She replied silently, leaning her head onto my shoulder.

The sun started to set. The view was indeed stunning. The city lights started to shine brighter, along with the rays of light coming from the sun. Soon, it was getting dark. I moved Sana's head and stood up. I held my hands out for her, and she gladly accepted my help.

"Let's get going, tomorrow's a big day."

"Mhm." She nodded.

I've rewritten the prologue, so it would match the current story line cause let's be honest, the previous prologue was cringe-worthy. 😂. As always, vote, comment, and thanks for reading!
