Chapter 28: Unforeseen

Treading outside Order's domain, Sana and Tzuyu were happily walking side by side. They agreed to mindlessly travel the area owned by no one, but nature. Hands intertwined and all, Sana couldn't believe she's with a beautiful goddess. It was as if she was only a dream. But now, here she was, holding hands with the girl she admired the most.

They arrived at a familiar place, it was the place where they fought. Sana's smile slowly faded, remembering everything she did to Tzuyu. She moved her gaze up, meeting the other girl's eyes. She saw sadness in them. She quickly pulled Tzuyu away from that place. Never in her wildest imagination, thought that they'll stumble upon that place again.

They continued to walk mindlessly. Until they stopped beside a river. The water was beautiful, it was crystal clear. Sana stayed under a shady tree. She slowly sat down. Tzuyu followed her and sat beside her as well. No one dared to talk though, everything was extremely awkward. The two kept stealing glances at each other. Sana sighed deeply, mustering her courage, she swallowed her pride and started a conversation.

Sana's POV

I can't take it anymore. I felt guilty all of a sudden. Out of all places, we had to stumble upon that shitty area. I took a deep breath and faced Tzuyu. I can't read her expression, which contributed to the nervousness I was feeling right now. She suddenly faced me, and our eyes met. I slowly opened my mouth, trying my best to say something.

"Tzuyu." I said, rather hoarsely.

Wow I never thought I had that kind of voice. I guess Tzuyu has that kind of effect one me. She never failed to surprise me.

"Are you still mad at me?" I continued.

"Why should I be?" She replied, rather coldly.

"Look, I'm sorry about our little fight." I pleaded, trying my best aegyo.

I saw her cover her mouth, holding her laughter. She faced me once more and tried to reply coldly.

"Why are you saying sorry?"

"I hurt you." I said cutely.

"I forgive you." She replied with no emotions.

"Ehhhhhhh. You're still mad." I pouted.

"Forgive me?" I said cutely.

She didn't reply.

"Please?" I continued.

Again, she didn't reply.

"Pleaaaaaaaase?" I pleaded once more.

"Alright alright fine! Why are you so cute?" She replied, pulling me to her embrace.

We stayed there for a while. My head was leaning towards her shoulder. She kept patting my head which made me slowly drift off to sleep.

My eyes slowly fluttered open. Checking my side, I saw that Tzuyu was sleeping comfortably as well. I slowly stood up, trying my best not to disturb the sleeping girl. I slowly walked forward, stopping my tracks when I reached the riverside.

"The scenery's beautiful, isn't it?" A voice spoke all of a sudden.

I was startled, I turned my head to see that it was Tzuyu. I nodded my head.

"But not as beautiful as you." She added, smirking.

"Smooth, I got to hand it to you love." I rolled my eyes.
