Chapter 12: Crystalline

"This time... I'll be the victor, and your life will be mine to kill." Tzuyu smiled evilly.

"Then come at me, If you can. Chewy." Sana smirked, waiting for Tzuyu to make her move.

"With pleasure." Tzuyu quickly ran forward, sending multiple punches to Sana. The other girl defended, and did some counterattacks.

"That all you got? Pathetic." Sana smirked, she then turned invisible. Tzuyu was trying her best to predict her next move. She sent a water blast in a location, and successfully hit Sana, but she was too late, Sana had already frozen her legs, rendering her unmovable.

"Shit. I can't move." Tzuyu cursed under her breath. She tried to break free but she failed miserably. The other girl then made her move and cast one of her devastating spells. "Dragon's Descend!" Sana jumped up, gaining momentum. Her body was in ablaze and went crashing down to where Tzuyu was. The latter couldn't think of a way to defend herself. She panicked and quickly defended using her light barrier.

The blazing girl continued to fall, finally hitting Tzuyu. The barrier was broken easily and the ordian girl was sent flying. "Argh." Tzuyu groaned in pain, she hit one of the tree and her vision started to go blurry. "Shit, I.." The girl passed out.

"Fuck. No, I overdid it, I-I.. Dang it, whatever." Sana quickly ran to pick up Tzuyu. She checked if there were people watching them, luckily, no one was watching. She quickly turned invisible while carrying Tzuyu, Yes, she can turn things that are attached to her invisible. She hid deep in the woods, far from the others. "I hope you'll wake up soon, aish I'm dead if they find out. More importantly, if you find out." She sighed in disbelief. She knew once she woke up, they'll continue to fight, Tzuyu was that stubborn after all.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the battlefield, Chaeyoung's team encountered the enemy. She quickly noticed the aura emitting from the girl in front of her. Out of the blue, the girl did some random hand motions, trying to do some magic to Chaeyoung which obviously did not work. The other girl gasped, she moved forward and commanded her men to attack.

"Woah, there are loads of them." Irene exclaimed.

"I know, let's just fight them." Sungjae smiled, while he made cracking sounds with his fingers

"I'll take on that girl who walks like a penguin, she seems... Interesting." Chaeyoung remarked, getting ready to face her enemy.

"Mhm. Okay then." The other two agreed, with that they started fighting.

The other girl saw Chaeyoung coming, she smiled to herself and murmured something. "So you're the one." She giggled and faced the girl. "But for now, you're my enemy." With that, she dashed forward, stopping in front of Chaeyoung.

"I'll be your enemy." Chaeyoung remarked.

"What? Who's there? Is someone talking?" Mina retorted, teasing the girl in front of her.

"Why you little- Whatever, I'm quite use to it." Chaeyoung pouted, but quickly removed it.

Before Chaeyoung could remove her pout, Mina saw a dimple in Chaeng's cheek. She hid her small smile and thought to herself. 'She's so cute. Aish, focus Mina!' She stepped back and got ready to face her.

Knowing the fact that Chaeyoung doesn't know her enemy, she went to her usual play style, defensive. She summoned two twisters beside her, getting ready to defend the other girl's attack.

"Mina, Myoui Mina, remember that, because it'll be the last name you'll remember." Mina introduced herself, but she lied about the last part.

She knew she couldn't kill her, she was too important for her. She took a few steps forward, raising her right hand, then her left hand, finally she pulled them down, then pushed both of her palms together. Two arms grew from the ground, they did what Mina's hand does. She pushed her hands down. The two earth arms followed and tried to squeeze Chaeyoung.

"W-What?!" Chaeyoung was surprised to see two hands trying to push her down.

She quickly used the two twisters she summoned to stop the earth. It was not enough so she had no choice but to user her ability. She used her telekinesis and stopped the hands from going any further. She, then carried both hands up, and sent them above Mina. She motioned her hands to go down, more like slam, and the hands followed to slam Mina.

The other girl quickly jumped out from the impact, protecting herself with ice. "You're good, but not good enough."

Mina quickly found a few enemy scouters. She used her ability and hypnotized them, commanding them to attack Chaeyoung. The scouters agreed and used different spells in unison, which caught the smaller girl off-guard. She was entangled with vines, and before you know it she was bombarded by wind and water spells. Blow by blow, she got hit directly. Chaeyoung used wind cutter to cut the vines, while defending herself with a light barrier.

"W-Wait. So you're telling me you can hypnotize people? You filthy cheater. Then why didn't you hypnotize me in the first place?" Chaeyoung was in disbelief, her enemy wasn't playing fair.

"This is a war, there are no rules, only bloodshed. I can't hypnotize you, because you're special. Only you can resist my charms." Mina explained, getting ready to attack again.

"S-Special?" Chaeyoung was bewildered.

"You'll understand it sooner, for now.. We are still enemies." Mina smiled. She then, commanded the scouters to attack Chaeyoung once more.

The Ordian girl did not know what to do, to hurt her friends, or to get pummeled to a pulp. She had no choice but to use that. She stood still, calming her mind. She thought of her elements deeply. Her eyes slowly fluttered open, while a gust of wind was surrounding her. The wind started to change in color, from being green-ish, to a shade of white. Her body was now surrounded with blinding light, but it was from the wind. She faced all of the scouters, with a swift hand motion, all of them fell down, unconscious.

"I'm sorry, but that's better than killing you by accident." Chaeyoung sighed. She faced Mina and glared at her. "Bastard, now face me."

She quickly dashed forward, her body was still surrounded with holy wind. She motioned her right hand to carry Mina's body, rendering the other girl helpless. She used her left hand to release a gust of holy wind, the enemy girl was continuously sliced by the wind. Holy wind does no damage to a person with purity in their hearts, instead, they are rendered unconscious. But, for those with no purity in their hearts, are damaged heavily.

"M-My eyes are feeling heavy." Mina blurted out.

"Huh?! But you're a Chaeon!" Chaeyoung protested.

"I don't know what's happening." Mina replied.

Mina quickly moved the earth below Chaeyoung, making the other girl fall down. She got out from Chaeng's grasp and whimpered. She was badly wounded, and at the same time, she was trying her best to avoid losing consciousness. She did not know why she suddenly felt sleepy. But knowing the current situation. She knew that she had to use hers as well. She slowly stood up, holder her left arm.

"This is your demise, Mina! Oh, by the way. I'm Chaeyoung, now good night!" Chaeyoung exclaimed, running to where Mina was standing.

She jumped off and rotated. Her body was still engulfed in holy wind, which rotated as well. She was flying towards Mina's location, while spinning faster and faster.

"Chaeyoung? That's a beautiful name. For a cute girl like you." Mina smirked. "Unfortunately, I'll have to make you wait."

A burst of wind sent Chaeyoung flying back. Something made an extreme impact to the ground which made the burst of wind. It was Mina. She was no where to be seen. But a huge crystal was located at her location. Mina was inside, resting quickly, her body was getting healed inside. It was one of her strongest spells, but unfortunately, she can only use it once every few months. The crystal slowly broke, revealing a fully healed Mina. Her appearance changed, she had bits of crystals on her arms, temples, and cheekbones.

"Did I make you wait long?"
