Chapter Fourteen: The Art of Acting
---

Natsu and Lucy continued walking down the long hallway, coming closer to their next class. Although acting wasn't exactly a keen aspect to her, Lucy was excited to see how the class was laid out.

They neared towards the auditorium and opened the doors, seeing other students begin to file in.

"Natsu? Please don't tell me we need to...perform...in front of other students," The blonde whispered.

He said nothing, causing her to groan. "Great. Just great. I can barely manage to sing in front of you and the others...and now I have to act in front of the whole class? That's just--"

The boy suddenly clapped his hand over her mouth, muffling the rest of her words. Her eyes widened in surprise. "Hey!"

"Shut up, will you?"

Lucy pouted, folding her arms across her chest. "Rude much?" She quickly pushed Natsu's hand away in annoyance.

"Acting isn't as hard as you think. And you were on the verge of panicking," He grumbled.

"I was not!"

"Whatever you say. Hurry up, we need to sit somewhere before the teacher yells at us."

Natsu guided her into the last row, and the two hurriedly sat down in the vacant seats right as the teacher walked out on stage.

She clapped her hands together loudly, grabbing everybody's attention in a second. "I need volunteers! Pronto!"

Hands shot up from all over. Lucy shrank in her seat, hoping she wouldn't be seen. Natsu snickered, lazily raising his hand.

"Let's see...Erza...and...Wendy! Come on up. We're going to need a boy! Gray! Get over here."

Natsu's eyes narrowed. "Ice Queen? You can't be serious..Gray can't act for shi--"

"Natsu! I'm going to need you too!" The teacher suddenly called.

Lucy snorted softly. "Good luck."

"Miss! Lucy would like to volunteer too," The boy suddenly said, waving his hand around for the teacher to see.

"Both of you come up then. And hurry! We don't have all day!"

The blonde's eyes widened significantly. "You did not."

Natsu grinned smugly. "I did," He grabbed her hand, yanking her to her feet. "Let's go."

She struggled to pull herself away from his grasp. Lucy huffed, "Oh how much I hate you right now."

The boy stopped, looking at her with a small pout. "Hate is a very strong word."

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Fine. Dislike very, very, much."

Natsu chuckled. "You're still coming up on stage."

"Wait what? No! Natsu! Don't you dare--" She shut her mouth as soon as the two got on stage, her eyes looking at the other students watching them in amusement. 'I hate you,' Lucy mouthed to Natsu in frustration.
