Chapter Thirty-Two: Birthdays
---

"Finally I found you. How do you feel about watching some movies at my place some time this week after school?" Lucy said, slightly worn out from running to Natsu from across the hallway.

"Depends on what type of movie," He squinted at her. "Wouldn't want you throwing popcorn all over me. Again."

The blonde scoffed. "Hey, that jump scare came out of nowhere!"

Natsu rolled his eyes, a grin spreading across his face. "Just choose a different genre this time. One that doesn't involve throwing of popcorn."

Lucy glared at him and stopped. "You're funny."

He continued walking forward, waving without turning around. "The funniest."

She sighed, letting out a soft chuckle. The blonde shook her head, turning around, abruptly coming face to face with Juvia.

Lucy jumped back, startled. "Holy crap, you scared me, Juvia. What's--"

The blunette placed her hand over Lucy's mouth, shushing her quickly. She removed her hand and began pulling her down the hallway. The blonde furrowed her eyes in confusion, not knowing what was going on. "Juvia where are we--"

She sent her a look, quickly causing Lucy to let her sentence die. They stopped in front of a music room, the door shut. Juvia leaned against the wall, peeking through the window of the door. Lucy raised an eyebrow, going to the other side of the door. She peeked through the window to see Gray and a girl with black sleek hair, triangular shaped bangs stopping a little below in the middle of her dark eyes. Locks of her hair fell on either side of her face.

The girl smiled at him as he pulled something from his back pocket, showing her a silver necklace with a white pendant Lucy couldn't recognize.

Lucy glanced at Juvia, realizing the blue haired girl was furious and upset. She backed away from the door, pressing her back against the wall as she slid down, sitting on the cold floor.

The blonde continued watching as Gray put the necklace back into his pocket and hugged the girl. She waved back at him before heading towards the door.

Lucy quickly retracted, pressing herself against the wall as the door swung open. The black haired girl hadn't noticed her or Juvia as she walked down the hallway. Gray followed soon after, finally walking out of the music room and sighing.

"So who was that?" The blonde suddenly asked, scaring the raven haired boy.

"Lucy?" His eyes widened.

"Who was that?" She asked again.

Gray furrowed his eyebrows. "It doesn't matter."

"Really? I think it does," Juvia said from behind him. Gray slowly turned around to face the blue haired girl.

"Juvia..."

"Who was that, Gray?" She asked calmly.

"Ultear's an old friend."
