Two Weeks Later

"Natsu?"

The pink haired boy ignored the voice and continued mindlessly plucking the strings of his guitar.

He heard the raven haired boy shift his feet until he stood in front of him. Gray sighed. "Natsu."

The boy mumbled in response, unable to actually form any words.

"Everyone's worried about you," Gray sat himself next to Natsu.

"Sounds good," He muttered, putting his guitar down on the steps next to him. He let his head hang, his pink, spiky hair shadowing over his eyes.

"You want to go visit her after school? Levy and Lisanna are going over to the hospital today to see how she's doing," Gray said.

"You know I can't, Gray," Natsu shook his head, trying to keep his voice even.

"Look, man. You can't keep blaming yourself for what happened to her," The raven haired boy folded his arms over his chest.

"But she's in the hospital because of me," His voice cracked.

"She's not," The raven haired boy said. He heard Natsu scoff, causing Gray to sigh. "Just...come find me if you want to go visit her any time," He stood up after patting Natsu's back.

"Thanks," The pink haired boy mumbled, watching from the corner of his eye as Gray left the courtyard.

Natsu let his eyes wander up to the sky, heaving out a deep sigh.

"Lucy! Look out!" The pink haired boy ran forward, reaching out. He was too far.

Everything was in slow motion. Even if he willed himself to move faster, it was almost as if the ground kept his feet glued in place.

He tried his best to reach her, only to watch in horror as Lucy froze, right as the side of the car hit her, causing the blonde to slam against the hard iced road, the back of her head hitting the concrete.

Even though the car swerved, it wasn't able to stop because of the ice, crashing into a nearby tree moments later.

By the time Natsu had reached Lucy, his eyes landed to the small pool of blood surrounding her. His eyes filled with tears as he knelt down next to her, calling out for help, but feeling completely helpless.

Everything felt numb when he saw the white camellia in the palm of her hand, small droplets of blood had tainted the once pure white color of the petals.

The ambulance arrived moments later, driving Lucy to the hospital, along with the man that had crashed the car into the tree.

Natsu stayed in his place, on his knees in front of the puddle. While Lucy was being put onto the stroller, she'd let go of the camellia, dropping it into the pool of blood.
