Chapter Forty-One: Two
---Lucy breathed in sharply, letting herself settle down back to where the Heartfilia mansion was. She looked at the large door in front of her, lifting her hand to knock when the door suddenly opened.
She smiled. "Virgo."
The maid smiled in a heart-warming way as she said, "It's good to see you, Princess."
Lucy walked into the mansion, looking around at the empty foyer, only hearing the door creaking as it closed from behind her.
She turned to Virgo and hugged her. "It's good to see you again."
"None of us thought you'd want to come back after your father...passed away," Virgo smiled at her sadly.
Lucy sighed quietly. "I just wanted to visit them again, you know, clear my head a bit. Everything's just getting a bit overwhelming."
Virgo rubbed her back. "Do you want me to make you anything? Food, something to drink?"
The blonde nodded. "That'd be great. Thanks Virgo."
The pink haired maid waved as she began to walk away. "You know where to find me."
Lucy waved before making her way to the garden, where her father's grave had been built next to her mother's and her sister's. She sat on the soft grass behind the flower bed placed in front of the gravestone, picking off a petal from the pink camellia closest to her.
She held it between her dainty fingers, staring at it. Lucy closed her hand around the pink petal, pressing her hand to her heart, sighing shakily as she then let the petal go, watching as it was picked up with the breeze passing by, letting it go.
She looked back at her father's grave, staring at the words carved into the stone. She scoffed softly to herself, muttering bitterly, "Loving father, huh?"
Lucy took a deep breath in as she stood, deciding to head back to her old bedroom to rest. She was exhausted, yet her thoughts wouldn't allow her to drift off to sleep. She rubbed her face in frustration, face-planting into her pillow.
A couple hours later, the door creaked open, and Virgo peeked in.
"Lucy? I made sandwiches and packed water bottles for you to have on your way home. You should really go now if you want to wake up tomorrow for school," She said.
Lucy groaned quietly. "I really don't want to go back. Can't I just stay in here and let my thoughts drive me crazy?"
Virgo exhaled deeply. "I know what you're going through is hard, with you and that boyfriend of yours, but you really need to face those problems instead of constantly hiding from them. You need to learn to stop running away, or you'll lose the people-or rather the person you love."
Lucy sat up, using her elbows to keep herself up. "It's not that I'm running away. I just...I'm not sure what's going to happen when I do face my prob-er...him."
"Well you won't know unless you try," Virgo walked into Lucy's bedroom and over to her, sitting on the bed next to her. She placed the small lunchbox of water bottles and sandwiches on the floor.
