"Hey, Natsu?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you have any left over cookies from yesterday?" The blonde asked, casually looking him up and down.

He sighed. "That's the millionth time you've asked me."

"It's because I know you do!" She glared at him. "You're just saving them for yourself."

Natsu scoffed. "No I didn't. We finished them yesterday, remember?"

Lucy grumbled. "Liar."

He sighed, draping his arm over her her shoulders. "Come on, we don't want to be late."

She huffed before nodding. "Right."

"Students are free to use the music rooms or anywhere you feel you want to practice for your auditions. Since you guys have Lunch next you can stay overtime while rehearsing, if you really need it," The teacher said. "Do your best."

Soon enough, the group had spilt off, with Natsu and Lucy staying in the music room.

"You're not going to practice, or whatever?" She asked him.

The boy shook his head. "I was the first one to go."

Lucy nodded. "Oh."

"Hey, how about you try singing?" He suggested calmly.

She snorted. "No. Absolutely not."

"Why not?" Natsu whined.

The blonde raised her eyebrows. "I'd sound like a dying goat."

He sighed in exasperation. "You don't know that unless you actually try, Lucy."

She shrugged. "Like I said, trying takes effort. Plus, I don't need to try in order to know I suck at singing."

Natsu's face fell. "Did you even hear yourself?"

Lucy frowned.

"You know what I think?" He grinned.

"What?"

"You're scared to try."

She scoffed. "No I'm not! Why would I be scared of singing?"

Natsu looked at her with a straight face. "Why don't you want to try?"

Lucy opened her mouth to say something, only for nothing to come out.

"Just try to sing. One song," Natsu said.

"Right now?" She asked anxiously.

"Whenever you feel like you want to. Sing alone if you think you can't do it in front of anyone."

Lucy took a deep breath in. "I...Okay, fine."
