Chapter Thirty-Five: New Girl

Everyone stayed silent until Lucy finally decided to speak up.

"Welcome to Fairy Tail of Performing Arts, Jenny," She said in a warm and welcoming tone as she smiled, sticking her hand out.

Jenny stared at her hand for a moment before shaking it slightly. "Thanks."

"I'm Lucy," She said. "I actually just joined the school at the beginning of the year."

"Hello there. I am Erza," The scarlet haired girl walked up to Jenny and shook her hand. Jellal introduced himself after her.

"Gray," The raven haired boy grinned at her and pointed to the blue haired girl he had his arms wrapped around. "This is Juvia."

She smiled at the blonde as Levy introduced herself, along with Gajeel. "Im Levy and this is Gajeel. Nice to meet you," The blunette said with a smile.

Wendy waved shyly as she said her name. Lisanna stared at her for a second before smiling. "I'm Lisanna. Welcome to FTPA."

Lucy realized Natsu hadn't introduced himself yet and nudged him in the side. The boy glared at her before sighing. "I'm Natsu."

Jenny smiled sweetly at him. "Hi."

This had gone unnoticed by everyone except him and Lisanna. Natsu raised an eyebrow before turning to the others and saying, "Hey guys, we should probably get going before we're late to lunch."

The ivory haired girl stood there and stared at Jenny. Something doesn't seem right about her.

"You coming, Lis?" Levy called after her.

Lisanna shook her head quickly and pushed the thought aside and looked at the blue haired girl before nodding. She jogged to catch up with them, keeping her eyes trained on the new girl.

Natsu glanced at Jenny from the corner of his eyes, noticing she'd been staring at him as they walked down the hallway. He turned his head to look at her, only to see her avert her gaze somewhere else. He frowned. "What?"

Lucy glanced at them curiously.

Jenny shook her head before smiling sweetly. "Sorry. It's just...your hair color is really cute."

Lucy felt her eyes narrow. She suddenly wrapped her hand around the crook of his elbow and tilted her body to the left to see Jenny. Lucy looked at her with a fake smile on her face. "I'm so sorry, but I completely forgot that Natsu and I have to go practice a duet we've been working on. Is it okay if I leave Lisanna,"

At the mention of her name, the ivory haired girl snapped her head towards the blonde. Lisanna nodded.

"To guide you around the school, Jenny?" Lucy asked calmly.

Maybe she was seeing things. But for a split second, she could've sworn Jenny had scowled at her.

She nodded enthusiastically, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Sure thing. It was nice meeting you," Jenny said, the sweet smile on her face again. "I can tell we'll be fast friends."

Lucy shot her a small smile before turning around and yanking Natsu in the other direction of where the group had headed.

They continued down the hallway in silence until they finally entered the closest music room to them. The blonde let go of Natsu, crossing her arms over her chest as she huffed, pacing around the room. "Something doesn't seem right about that girl."
