I love you because...

Earlier today, after breakfast, you hinila mo ako sa may sidewalk, reminded me not to skip my meds, and kissed me on the lips. That left a smile on my face as I walked back in.

Few minutes before 3pm, you called. It was your lunch break and you remembered me. You asked me if I already had my lunch. I said I did not and you scolded me. I knew then that you felt bad because if you were with me right now, you'd surely cook a delicious meal for me like you always do.

But, don't worry now! I'm going to take a bath because you said earlier, before you left for work, na ang baho ko na. But, you still kissed me anyway. Once I've freshen up, I'm going to have my late lunch. So, no need to feel bad.

At 6pm, I was excited for you to come home. Nag-text ka and I was expecting you'd tell me you were on your way. But, instead, you said you needed to render OT. I started a fight and texted you my rants which I knew was bad. But, you remained calm and still tried to explain that it was your boss' last minute decison. I felt guilty but did not say sorry. I knew you wouldn't mind. For sure, when you would reach home, you'd still kiss me.

You called me right after your shift ended and asked what I wanted for dinner. They said the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach. That actually applies to a woman as well. And you, hmmm, you just knew where's the best way. You had already won my heart and you kept winning that eveytime.

Finally, few minutes past 8, you arrived. You said, "Ang ganda mo ngayon ah!". I secretly smiled. "Nakaligo lang love." You laughed maybe because you remembered how I stinked earlier. LoL. You did not kiss me as I had expected. You put down the food you bought for dinner and changed into you comfy house clothes. I was sitting with legs crossed on the bed facing my lappy screen. You sat behind me and I was surprised when you hugged me tight. You said you were lucky to have me as you're wife (as you claimed it). While we were eating, you kissed my shoulder, pinched my arm, and said "I love your braso!".

Sadly, you seemed to have gotten the bacteria from me because you were sick. :( This time I would remind you not skip your meds. I had you drink one to make sure what you were feeling won't progress. You then hugged me and said "Ang sarap mong maging asawa." I was flattered again and melted. I began to doubt whether you knew about this thing I was writing and intentionally acted sweet. So I asked, "Ba't ang sweet mo ngayon?" with an accusing look. "Sweet naman talaga ako ah!" you answered and hugged me again.

Well, who wouldn't love the feeling of being valued and loved. Being told by someone you love that they're lucky to have you would definitely boost your self esteem and make you believe in yourself more.
