"Gossip and Ice Cream."

•••

Maddox.

I waited for Jess's shift to end so she could come over for girls night. I set up my living room by setting out the blankets and placing my cd's on the coffee table. I decided to make some popcorn while I waited.

I set the bag in the microwave and set it to pop. I then heard my phone ding signaling that I got a text. I walked over and read to see who it was from.

From Jess💓:
Hey girly I'm heading over with the ice cream and toppings! Don't start the movies without me!!!

To Jess💓:
Don't worry I won't, I'm making popcorn as well. I have the chips and pizza is on it's way!

From Jess💓:
Yay! Have I ever told you I love you? Because I do❤️

To Jess💓:
Hehe hurry up love!

I smiled at my best friends silliness. Just then the microwave rang and I walked over to take it out before they burned. I quickly opened the bag and poured the popcorn into a bowl.

I then took the bowl over and sat it down on the table. Just then the doorbell rang, I hurried over and opened it to find the pizza guy. He looked a little shaken up, but I just assumed he was new and nervous.

"Uh...the..um total is $12.50." He told me as he handed me the two boxes.

I smiled and nodded before opening my wallet and grabbing a ten and a five. I handed it to him in exchange for the boxes.

"Keep the change." I told him and he nodded quickly before leaving.

That was really strange but I just shrugged it off. I set the pizza down on the coffee table along with the popcorn. Just then the door opened and in walked Jess. I had given her my spare key a few months back.

"Hey girly I came with the sweets! Time to get this party started." She said excitedly.

She put the ice cream in my freezer and left the rest of the stuff on the counter before walking over to me. We grabbed our plates and pizza and started to eat as I played the movie. First movie, Scream.

I walked back into our apartment after just being across the street. I took off my jacket and placed it on the couch. I put my keys and wallet on the counter before walking over to where Matt was sitting.

"You really had to scare the poor guy?" Matt asked as I sat next to him on the couch.

I smirked, "Couldn't let you have the only fun." I told him.

He rolled his eyes, "Okay but all you had to do was make sure no one but the company touched the pizza. You didn't need to practically make him pee his pants with your threat." He scolded me.

I shrugged my shoulders, "It just teaches him to never try and put anything in Pizza besides what needs to be on it." I said innocently.
