"Not so broken."

Maddox
I woke up with my neck and back hurting as well as a headache. When were the headaches going to stop? I opened my eyes to find myself on the cold, dirty, hard cement floor. I had no idea if I was asleep for a really short amount of time or it was the next day.
The bright sun was shinning through cracks of the windows. I sat up while letting out a groan due to the pain in my neck. I rolled my neck trying to easy the pain but it probably just made it worse. I listened for any sound or sign that I wasn't alone but nothing.
I then looked around and looked for anything that could help me get out of the duct tape. I leaned against the pillar and tried to see if maybe I could cut it. Though after ten minutes or trying the duct tape didn't loosen up. I started to feel tired for using all my strength on the pillar.
I then seen a window boarded up but underneath it was broken glass. I very quickly moved towards the glass being careful not to cut myself on the little pieces on the floor. I had to feel around for a big piece of glass, I found one and had to move it around in my hand.
This was going to not only be painful but very hard. I am going to have to grip the broken glass and try to cut the tape without cutting my wrists. I took a deep breath before aligning it and getting a hold of it. I could feel the jagged sharp glass start to dig into my palm.
I bit my lip to try and focus the pain on my lip rather than my palms. I then started to slowly moved the glass against the tape being careful not to cut anything else. It only took a few minutes before I felt the release of the tape against my wrists. I dropped the glass and brought my hands to my lap.
My hands were covered in blood and I had a medium sized gash on both my hands. It started to sting but I needed to cover them before they bled out, I took off my shirt which left me in my tank top and ripped it with my teeth and whatever strength was left in my hands.
I then carefully wrapped both my hands with the cloths of my shirt. It hurt like a bitch but I grabbed the glass now with my ripped up shirt. I then cut the tape from around my ankles so that my legs were free.
Once I was done I got up and walked towards what looked like a door. My legs were tingling from not being able to move them for so long. Though I eventually got to the door but when I did I heard someone walking towards it on the other side. I moved against the wall where the door would hit so I would be covered.
The door then opened and luckily it didn't fully hit me. I watched as he walked in and stopped dead in his tracks. I then got out from where I was hiding and swept him off his feet in one quick motion. He groaned as he laid on his stomach while I twisted his arm.
"You stupid bitch, how did you get out?" He asked groaning in pain.
"It wasn't easy, painful actually but when you're used to pain it doesn't faze you as much." I told him.
He chuckled, "And what is it exactly do you think you're going to do? Knock me out and leave me here? Run away and get help?"
"Actually that's exactly what I was going to do. Because if there's one thing you don't know about me is I'm not weak, and definitely not broken." I told him as I twisted his arm more.
He yelled in pain, "You're going to regret it, if you take one step out of here."
"Not if you're arms broken, there won't be anything you could do." I threatened.
He just chuckled through the pain, "You don't know who you're dealing with Maddox."
"A deadbeat father who kidnapped me? I think I nailed it don't you?" I asked.
He grunted, "Fine then go, leave. Don't break my arm and I'll leave you alone."
"What makes you think I'd trust you?" I asked.
He shook his head, "Nothing but I left you alone for years I think that's enough credibility for this don't you?"
It was true I mean it's been so long but what made him come back? Why did he want me out of nowhere? He knew where to find me and how to abduct me. God knows he could do it again, but I didn't want to be here any longer.
"If you ever think about coming near me again i swear to god you won't see tomorrow and that's a promise." I threatened.
I then dislocated his shoulder which made him scream out in pain. I then got off of him and walked towards the door. I still kept my eyes on him making sure he didn't do anything stupid.
"That was just reassurance that you wouldn't do something stupid." I told him.
I then walked out of the building and see it definitely was an abandoned building. I walked out into the sidewalk and nothing looked familiar not one building or street sign. I looked back over at the door and when I didn't see him get out I walked down the street.
I had to find a place where I could get a phone and call someone. The one person I thought of was probably gone. But something in my gut told me to call him, so that's what I did.
I walked to the nearest store and walked to the register. The girl looked to be 17 years old and bored out of her mind.
"Uh can I use your guys phone it's an emergency." I told her.
She then looked at me, "Yeah here."
She then handed me the stores phone and I grabbed it carefully. My hands were still raw from the gash so it hurt.
"Shouldn't you be at a hospital?" She asked me as she noticed my hands.
I nodded, "Yes but I need to get there which is why I'm calling."
I then dialed Shawn's phone number, I held it up to my ear. It rang and rang before he finally picked up.
"Hello?" I heard him ask.
He sounded so tired and like he was sick almost. Or maybe I had just woke him up from a nap or something.
"Shawn, it's Maddox." I said softly as if I could wake up any minute now and not have escaped.
"Maddox? Oh my god are you okay? Where are you?" Shawn asked sounding concerned.
I looked around, "I don't know, but I need you Shawn. I need you right now."
