"Night Adventures."

•••

Shawn.

Matt and I stayed in all Saturday morning and evening. The sun was about to be setting in an hour or so on LA. Nothing had happened within the last few hours.

Maddox had stayed inside her apartment the whole day. She was up and cleaning it then spent the rest of her day typing on her laptop and writing things on her notepad. I had taken over while Matt went to take a shower.

My attention was captured in the way Maddox looked. The way she was fixated on her task. Her hair was in a messy bun, her stray hairs falling around her face. Her bright green eyes focused on her computer.

She sat crossed legged on her couch and balanced her laptop on her legs. She had her notebook next to her and her pen in her mouth. Her eyebrow scrunched in confusion before she huffed.

She placed the laptop on her coffee table before stretching. She raised her hands up in the air above her head. It caused her tank top to raise up a little above her stomach.

I then heard Matt clear his throat causing me to break my sight. I looked over at him and he just had a smug look on his face.

"So anything interesting Agent lover boy?" He asked as he plopped down on the couch.

I rolled my eyes and looked back at the screen. Maddox had gotten up from sitting on the couch and walked to her kitchen. I shook my head at Matt before doing the same.

"No, just the same boring thing." I told him as I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge.

He hopped off the couch and that's when I actually seen what he was wearing. He looked like he was ready to go to the club.

"Well if that's the case you don't mind if I go out right?" Matt asked.

"You want to go out? And do what exactly? Last I checked you had a girl back home." I reminded him.

He nodded his head, "Yes Sherlock I do remember. That's why she flew in for a few days, it's been lonely staying in so she flew down."

"Matt having her here can be dangerous and we're not allowed to be distracted." I told him, reminding him of our duty.

He nodded, "And I'm not, she's in town to visit her grandmother. She's only going to be in for three days. She got in yesterday and spent it with family now it's my turn. I promise I'll come back and be on the computer once again."

I hated being the one to sound like I didn't have fun. Though I didn't want harm to come to Matt nor his girlfriend. He's been my best friend for a long time and his happiness means a lot.

"Okay, I'll be here keeping watch. Go have fun and tell Megan I said hi." I told him.

He then smiled, "Okay and don't wait up for me."

I rolled my eyes but smiled at my friend. He closed the door and silence fell in the room. Man this is what it must feel like to be him when I'm out. Then again I live like this back in New York, I just forgot. Ever since I got here it's like I'm someone else.
