Chapter 5

I wake up in the middle of the night and I am in a boy's room.
I look around and right next to me is Jack.
Oh thank God, I was so scared for a second
He starts moving and rubs his eyes.
He looks up at me and smiles.
"What's wrong beautiful?" He asks and rubs my back, as i'm sitting up by now.
"Nothing," I say smiling back. "I guess I just woke up for a second. Go back to sleep."
"Ok, sleep well. Wake me up if you need anything."
I smile. What a sweet boy.

I wake up in the morning with Jack's arms wrapped around my waist.
I smile and play with his hair until he wakes up and smile right back at me.
"Whatcha doing?" He asks laughing, which makes me laugh too.
"Just keeping myself occupied." I respond.
He starts tickling me and I start laughing uncontrollably. I notice him smiling a lot.
Eventually, I decide to get my lazy butt out of bed and Jack starts playing video games.
I walk downstairs and all of the other boys are on the couch.
Corbyn must of heard me. "Good morning Lauren!" He shouts.
The rest of them turn their heads. "Good morning!" They all say at the same time.
"Morning." I say.
Zach comes into the kitchen where I am standing.
"Where's Jack?" He asks
"Upstairs in his room, playing video games." I respond.
"Nothing new." He laughs.
"Nope." I say also laughing, and bringing two bowls of cereal up to Jack's room.
When I walk in Jack glances quickly.
"Hey what's up?"
"Just brought you cereal."
He turns his head and pauses his game.
"We should probably get ready soon, cuz I was thinking we could do something later today."
"Like, together?" He asks.
"I was thinking about it."
"Lauren, are you asking me on a date?"
"That depends, would you say yes?"
"Yes."
"In that case, I am asking you on a date."
"Good, I didn't want to make the first move." Jack says while pretending to wipe sweat off of his forehead. We both laugh.
We end up getting ready and walking downstairs.
"Finally." Daniel says.
"Very funny." I say jokingly.
They all laugh except for Jonah.
Jack walks into the kitchen alone and I go up to him and whisper, "Do you notice Jonah is always super quiet when we are together?"
Jack looks at Jonah.
"No." He responds and continues doing the dishes.
I go over and sit on the couch, right next to Jonah.
"Hey Jonah, I just realized we never talk anymore! Wanna go out for lunch and catch up?" I say.
He looks startled. "Sure."
"Great! Be ready by 12:00, and we will leave. Where do you wanna go?"
"I don't care." Jonah says, boringly.
"How about Jack in the Box?"
"Sure, why not."
"Ok, we will leave at 12."
"Sounds good."
Jonah and I have never been super close.

Jonah's POV

The entire time Lauren was talking, I was only thinking about how I want to make her mine.
She is just so pretty and I don't see why she likes Jack and Jack gets her all to himself.
When I asked her what I should do about liking a girl my friend likes she said I should talk to my friend. She obviously knew I was talking about her and Jack.
I'll talk to Jack about it soon. 

Jack's POV

I was looking at Lauren while doing the dishes.
She was sitting on the couch watching tv and she just looked so perfect.
I wish she wasn't playing so hard to get.
I want to make her mine already.
I looked at Jonah and noticed he was staring at her too. Probably just zoning out.
I focused my attention back on her.
Her hair fell so perfectly, and she was so beautiful. I want to be with her forever.
Someone tapped on my shoulder and I jumped from being so startled.
"Dude? Zoning out?" Zach said, staring at me.
"Yeah I guess." I say continuing doing the dishes.

Lauren's POV

Around 12, Jonah and I leave.
We start driving to Jack In The Box, jamming out to Taking You.
We get there, order, and find our seats.
"Can we talk?" Jonah asks.
Uh oh.
