Chapter 12

Lauren's POV:

I wake up, still in Jacks arms. Everyone is still sleeping.
I don't want to wake them up so I just grab my phone and scroll through Instagram.
I find a fan account for Jack and I and decide to go through some of their posts
The most recent picture is one of Jack and I.
Its captioned, "This is kinda creepy..."
Creepy? I think it's cute.
In the picture, Jack and I were laying on the couch, I had grey shorts and a blue shirt and Jack was wearing his black and yellow relax shirt with black jeans.
I noticed Jack and I were wearing that right now.
I start going through the comments and they say...

why.dont.we.fangirl: What a stalker

I look closer and this is me and Jack, last night.
It was probably one of the boys.
But they were sound asleep.
They probably got up.
The boys start waking up one by one and I ask them if they took the picture and they all swore they didn't.
Who took it then? That is kinda creepy.
Eventually, Jack wakes up and I tell him everything.
"It's probably just one of Zach's pranks." He says.
"But he swore on Reese(Zachs little sister) that he didn't do it."
Jack looked confused. "I don't know then."
All of a sudden his phone buzzed and he checked it.
A worried look spread across his face.
"Jack, is something wrong?" I ask.
"I have to go home right now." He says and runs upstairs.
"That was weird." Daniel said.
"I'm gonna go ask what's up."
When I go upstairs, Jacks bedroom door is shut. I try to open it but it's also locked.
I knock. "Jack, its Lauren. Please open up."
After a few minutes the door opens and Jack is crying. He hugs me tight and I hug back.
We stand there for a while until I pull away and we sit on the bed, but i'm still holding his hand.
"Jack what happened?"
He tries to stop crying.
"You don't need to act tough, cry as much as you want." I say.
"I got a text from Ava(one of jacks sisters), and our mom got in an accident. I need to go help them out for a couple weeks."
I look down. "Ok."
"I don't want to leave you here but I need to help them."
"No don't worry about me, I just have a minor concussion. Go Jack, they need you."
He hugs me again.
"Want me to help you pack?"
He nods, then says, "Thank you."
I pack his bag and we both go downstairs.
"What's up with you?" Zach asks.
"My mom got in an accident, so i have to go home for a couple weeks. Please take care of Lauren for me." He says and puts his around around me.
"Yeah man, of course." Corbyn says.
"Hope your moms ok." Jonah adds.
"Keep us updated." Daniel continues.
"I figure I'll just take the next flight to Pennsylvania."
The boys nod.
"I called an Uber so i'm gonna wait outside. See you guys in a couple weeks." Jack says. "Lauren will you come wait with me."
I nod and follow him outside.
We sit there until the Uber pulls up.
"Lauren, don't find anyone better when I'm gone." Jack says worried and I put my arms around his neck.
"Jack, that's impossible."
He smiles.
"You don't find anyone better either." I say.
"Impossible." He says and I smile.
"See you soon Jack." I say and start to tear up.
"Baby don't cry, i'll be back before you know it."
Jack hugs me and then we kiss.
He gets in the Uber and I wave until the car is out of sight.
I walk inside the house and walk straight to Zachs room where I lay on his bed and start crying. I put on his sweatshirt and cry even more. I kept telling myself he would be home soon but I just don't know.
Someone walked in and I looked up.
Through the blurriness of my tears I could see Zach walking towards me.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Do I look okay?" I respond.
He sits down and puts his hand on my thigh.
"Can I make it better?" He asks and grins.
