Chapter 9

I wake up in the morning and I have a ton of texts.

C: Yo Jack is so happy!! What happened?

D: Lauren what did you say to Jack, he's in such a good mood!

Z: Jack isn't crying! Your magic!

Jonah: Your perfect! You made Jack happy, why can't you make me happy?

Jack: We need to talk, can i come over?

I respond to the rest of the boys first, then Jack.

L: Sure, the sooner the better.
J: I'll head over now.

I rush downstairs and instantly hear a knock.
I open the door.

"Hey Jack." I say.
He looks me up and down. "Your still wearing my shirt?" He smiles.
"Yeah, it reminds me of you." It gets quiet. "Come in." I continue.
He walks in and sits on the couch, then I join him.
"Lauren, I want to go back to being friends with benefits." He says, taking my hand.
"Me too Jack, I miss you so much. But do
you trust me?"
He nods. "Yes, I always have. I was being insecure before."
I start tearing up and he hugs me.
"Promise you'll never leave me?" I say while hugging him.
"Promise."
I pull away and look him in the eyes. "I just want to go slower this time."
"Ok." He says.
We hug again and I kiss him on the cheek.
He looks at me and I smile.
"I've missed you so much Lauren."
"I'm gonna go get dressed then maybe we can go out?"
"Yeah, breakfast then meet the boys at the beach?"
"Sure."
I go upstairs and jump in excitement.
I quickly get changed and pack a small bag for the beach.
When I come downstairs I see Jack dancing.
"Whatcha doin?" I ask and he quickly stops.
"Uh you weren't supposed to see that." He turns red.
"Were you celebrating?" I walk over to him and hug him. "Are you ready?" I ask.
He nods.
We get in the car and go get something to eat.
*Skip breakfast*
As we are on the way to the beach, my phone buzzes.

Jonah: Hey cutie, on your way to the beach?😘
L: Jonah, i'm with Jack, don't call me cutie. But yeah, we're on our way.
Jonah: But i want you to be mine.
L: I'm sorry Jonah.

"Who are you talking to?" Jack asks.
"Jonah keeps texting me." I hand Jack my phone and he reads the messages.
"Oh."
"Jack are you ok?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm just mad at Jonah because he knows we are together but he keeps acting like that."
Jack looks mad.
"Baby it's ok, I like you and only you." I say and put my hand on his arm.
We get to the beach and Jack instantly walks over to Jonah and punches him in the face.
"Stay away from my girl!" He yells.
I try to hold him back, along with Daniel.
I say into Jack's ear. "Jack don't do this, it's ok."
Jonah gets up. "I could treat her way better than you could!"
Jack starts walking toward Jonah.
"Jack please stop, your scaring me."
That's when Jack loosened up. He stopped walking toward Jonah.
He turned around and looked at me.
"I'm sorry for scaring you." He says and puts his hand on my face.
"Just please don't do that, i know what you're capable of."
"Ok." He looks at Jonah. "She's mine, so just back off dude. Ok?"
"For now." Jonah says.
Jack grabs me by the waist and we set up a little area.
I sit down before I start getting ready to swim and Jack takes his shirt off.
Then he sits next to me.
"Are you ok?" He asks.
"Yeah, just admiring my handsome and strong man." I say while wrapping my arms around his neck.
He sets his forehead on mine and smiles. Then he kisses me.
I take off my shirt and shorts, and am only in my bathing suit.
I suddenly get picked up and get carried to the water.
I look and see Jack carrying me.
"Am i heavy?" I ask.
"Not at all." Jack says and I laugh.
Next thing you know we are both in the water.
We stay there for a couple hours until the boys and I all go back to the Why Don't We house.
"Sleepover?" Daniel says.
I nod and we all make a fort in the living room, except for Jonah.
"I'm going to sleep in my room." He says.
"Dude just sleep down here with us." Zach says.
"Too weird." Jonah walks upstairs and we all carry on with the fort.
"He will be fine." Jack says.
The rest of the night consists of us watching movies, and eating food.
One of the best nights ever.
