Chapter 42- Part 2

Lauren's POV:

When I opened my eyes, my head hurt so bad. It felt like it was throbbing.
I try to move, but can't. I look down and I'm tied to a chair again, but with a thicker rope.
I sat there in silence for a while, until I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

Jake's POV:

I had gotten off the phone with Logan, and he told me Jack's girlfriend had gone missing, and to update him if I find anything.
Little did he know she's in my basement right now at the house I bought in Pennsylvania.
After I hung up, I decided to check up on Lauren.
I walk downstairs, and she was finally up.
"How'd you sleep?" I ask.
No response.
"I said, how'd you sleep?" This time I yelled.
She still ignored me.
I stomp over to her and grab her face.
"Make this easier for both of us and respond." I say, spitting all over.
"Fine." She mumbles.
I turn around and go back upstairs to eat, something she won't be doing.

Jack's POV:

I stayed up all night, and my computer says I only have a couple more hours until I know Jake's location.
The boys decided that after I find her, we are all going to fly home and meet up.
Isla kept trying to come in my room, but I wanted to be alone.
All I could think about was Lauren.

Daniel's POV:

I told Jack we would all meet up in LA once he found Lauren, but little did he know that the rest of us planned to fly to Pennsylvania early.
We all decided to leave in a half hour or so and wait at his house once he finds Lauren and brings her home.

                            ~2 hours later~

Jack's POV:

A couple hours later, my computer finally gave me an address of where the call came from.
I called the police to update them, and told them to meet me a couple blocks away from the address.
I drove there, and met up with the cops.
They walked with my and his outside the house.
I went up to the front door and walked in while the police were guarding me from aside.
Officers followed me as I walked around. I didn't see anything until I came across a door.
When I slowly and quietly opened it, it revealed stairs.
I tip-toed down them and saw Lauren when I reached the bottom.
I ran over to her, but she started shaking her head.
I heard a gun shot and turned around.
Jake was creeping up behind me but a cop shot his leg.
They took him upstairs and I untied Lauren, then pulled her into a hug.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
She was crying into my shoulder but she responded with a soft "yeah".
"I'm so sorry this happened to you. You're safe now." I assured her.
The officer that stayed downstairs with us escorted us upstairs and out of the house.
Then they drove us back to my house, while asking her a few questions on the way there.
We finally arrived, and my mom and sisters greeted Lauren at the door.
Lauren wanted to go in my room and lay down, and I was going to join her.
We walked up the stairs and when I opened my door, people yelled, "Surprise!"
I looked and it was Daniel, Corbyn, Zach, and Jonah.
"Lauren! I'm so glad you are ok!" Daniel said.
They all hugged her and made sure she was ok.
"When did you guys get here?" I ask.
"Like 30 minutes ago." Corbyn answers.
Lauren is laying in bed, with all of us spread out about the room.
I was sitting next to her, stroking her hair.
Corbyn was at the computer playing video games.
Jonah and Daniel were sitting on the couch in my room.
Zach was at the end of my bed.
"Your mom said we should all stay the night and fly back to LA in the morning. Then New York in a few days."
I nod.
It was almost 11 by now, so I suggested we all go to sleep.
"Only one can fit in here with us, so the other three go in the guest room." I say.
"I'll sleep in here." Daniel volunteers.
I show the others to the room next door and get them set up, and when I come back Daniel is passed out on the couch.
I walk over to Lauren and get in bed next to her, and she is already sleeping.

Daniel's POV:

In the morning, I open my eyes and seem to be the only one up.
I get up and look at Jack and Lauren.
I stare at Lauren and her beauty.
Then I look at her lips. Her very kissable lips. I want to be with her.
Snap out of it, I tell myself. Every time I see her it is hard to resist her. But I have to, she is with one of my best friends.
The door creaks open and I jump. I look over and see Zach.
"You scared me." I whisper.
"What were you doing?" He asks.
I walk into the hallway. "Nothing."
We go downstairs for a while and watch tv waiting for the others to wake up.

Jack's POV:

"You scared me." I hear someone whisper.
"What were you doing?" That sounds like Zach's voice.
I open my eyes and my room was now empty, besides Lauren and I.
I didn't want to wake Lauren, so I lay in bed on my phone for a couple hours.
Her eyes finally open, and she smiles at me.
"Good morning." I say.
"It feels so good to be back." She responds.
I kiss her forehead and get out of bed.
As soon as she gets out of bed, we go downstairs and join Daniel, Zach and Jonah on the couch.
"Where's Corbyn?" My mom asks from the kitchen.
"Probably still sleeping." Zach responds.
"He needs a lot of sleep to function properly." Jonah adds and we all laugh.
Just then, Corbyn stumbles down the stairs while rubbing his eyes.
"All this laughing woke me up from my nap."
He mumbles.
"Nap?" Ava questions.
"Yeah." He answers in an obvious tone.
"After Corbyn wakes up, he takes a 30 minute nap." I inform her.
She nods, then says, "Mom, I'm going to Kim's house. See ya.".
"Be safe. Say bye to the boys and Lauren, they won't be here when you get back."
Ava hugs the boys and Lauren first, and comes to me last.
"Bye Jack." She says into my shoulder.
"Bye Ava. I'll see you soon. Love you." I respond.
"Love you too. Bye everyone!" She shouts as she closes the front door behind her.
"Breakfast is ready!" My mom yells a few minutes later.
We all eat then, say our goodbyes, and head off to the airport.
