Chivalry woke to a terrible headache. She looked around the room. Concrete walls and floors, a wooden dresser, and a small, metal bed filled up the tiny space.

"Where am I ?" She looked around some more. Daton! "Daton? Daton where are you?"

She tried yelling it twice but got no answer. Her pulse began to beat so fast that she was trembling and sweating at the same time. She felt achy all over as well.

She wondered where Daton was and why she was in some strange room. For some reason she had the urge to cry. Just as the tears began to flow the door to the room opened and in walked a tall, slim, blonde with blue eyes and a friendly smile.

"Good morning. How are you feeling?"

Her voice sounded oddly familiar. "Have we met before?"

"My name is Hayllen and I am your nurse."

Her name sounded familiar too. And what did she say about being my nurse? Was she in a hospital? She'd never been in a hospital with rooms like this. She shook her head and looked at her nurse.

"Hayllen can you tell me where my husband is? His name is Daton. He's about five foot..."

Hayllen held her hand up to silence Chivalry. "Your husband is downstairs. Do you want him to come see you?"

Chivalry gave a sigh of relief. "Yes please. And can I please have something for pain? My head feels like it is going to split wide open."

Hayllen smiled and nodded then left the room. Chivalry looked around the room again. Why waws she in a hospital? She mentally shrugged. Once she saw Daton he could explain everything.

Hayllen went downstairs and into the kitchen. She was searching for some aspirin when Holland walked in.

"How is she?"

"She is awake. The medicine is finally wearing off. And she's asking for her husband."

"Good. What are you doing?"

"Her head hurts so she asked me for some pain medication. I'm trying to see what I can find to give her."

Once Hayllen found some aspirin Holland took it and a glass of water up the stairs to Chivalry. He knocked on the door but didn't wait for a reply.

"Hello dear. Here is some aspirin and a glass a water."

He put the aspirin in her hands and gave her the glass of water. Chivalry didn't even hear what the man in front of her said. She vaguely remembered that he had placed something in her hands. She just stared wide eyed. Finally she realized that she had been staring and shook her head.

"I'm sorry. My name is Chivalry Farefall."

She looked down at her hands and realized that she was holding some pills and a glass of water. She washed the pills down and put the glass on the floor. She then looked up to see Holland staring at her.

"I'm sorry. Who are you?"

A look of shock then pain crossed her face. "I'm your husband dear. Don't you remember me?"

Chivalry's eyes went as round as a full moon. Her heart felt like it was going to leap out of her chest. Her mind was racing so fast she couldn't make sense of anything. So many questions  came flooding in at once that she became dizzy.

Holland noticed that she had turned pale. He knew it was going to be a challenge to convince Chivalry that they were married, but it was a challenge he was more that willing to tackle. Chivalry was a beautiful woman with a kind spirit. He knew that she would believe him after he proved his heart to her.

Chivalry finally found her voice. "I don't know who you are but you are not my husband. Of that I am sure. My husband's name is Daton Farefall and I demand to see him this instant! Where is he?"

Against her will an edge of fear crept into her voice. Tears were beginning to well up in her eyes. What was going on? Where was Daton and why was he not here with her?

Holland got as close to her as he dared and took her hand. "There there love. You need to calm down. Now, I am your husband. My name is Holland Kinchen. You are Chivalry Kinchen. I don't know who this Daton Farefall guy is but I assure you that you two are not married."

Chivalry just stared at him. She couldn't speak. How could this be happening? She wanted to scream Daton's name and run out of the room to find him. She wanted to be in his safe, loving arms. She wanted to hear him say, "I love you" and kiss her and let her know that everything was going to be alright.

Instead all that came out of her mouth was "Why am I in this room?"

Holland sat on the edge of her bed and grabbed both of her hands. He smiled when she didn't pull away. She was probably in shock and just hand't noticed yet. But the fact that he was holding her hands without her fighting him made his heart soar.

"You don't remember a thing do you?"

Chivlary shook her head.

"I tell you what....let me go make sure that Hayllen is preparing dinner. All three of us can eat in the dinning room together. I will explain everything then. Will that work?"

Chivalry nodded her head. As much as she didn't want to be around the man she still wanted some answers.
