Daton woke up and stretched. He looked over and realized he was alone. He got up and began searching for Chivalry. The first place he learned to look was the kitchen. Chivalry basically lived in there.

He smiled when he found her eating watermelon slices. When he saw her slather peanut butter on a piece before eating it he cringed.

"Peanut butter watermelon. That's a new one."

Chivalry turned to him and smiled. "I woke up around three and that's what I was craving."

Daton looked down at her stomach. She was now six months along. To him she looked like she had swallowed a whale.

"How are you feeling?"

"Fine. Just hungry."

"The police and news reporter will be by today."

Chivalry gave him a look.

"I know you wanted to settle in and get into a routine but Holland is still out there, a free man. Who's to say he won't come looking for you? We need to get this over with now. That way we can move forward with our lives."

"You are right. I just stopped having nightmares and occasionally venture outside without fear though. I just want to forget everything, not drag it all out in the open."

"Holland needs to pay for what he's done."

"I agree. I just wish there was a way to leave me out of it."

Daton pulled her close and rested his chin on top of her head. "Me too dear. Me too."

Sessirah and Gavin walked in at that moment. "Now isn't that a lovely sight."

Chivalry smiled and went to give her mother a hug.

"What time does everyone arrive?"

Daton turned to Gavin. "About an hour."

"Then we best get with it."

Everyoone went to get ready. They all met back in the living room an hour later. Sessirah got busy straightening everything while Chivalry made coffee. Five minutes later there was a knock at the door.

Daton rose to go open the door. "Show time."
