Because of Chivalry

Chapter Fifty

Eighteen months later....

"Mommy! Daddy!"

Chivalry and Holland turned to see two year old Teigan hugging Mickey Mouse. Chivalry quickly snapped a picture then slowly lowered the camera. Holland saw her shocked expression and followed her gaze. There, behind Teigan, stood Daton Farefall. Holland quickly snatched up his daughter and pulled his wife to his side. 

Daton started walking over to them. A woman and little girl followed. He smiled at Chivalry when he got close. 

"Hi Chivalry."

"Hello Daton."

Daton motioned for the woman and little girl to come over. "This is my wife, Korine, and her daughter, Sushka."

Chivalry pointed to her family. "This is Holland and our daughter, Teigan."

Daton held out his hand to Holland. "Nice to finally meet you."

Holland eyed him but when Chivalry gave him a nudge he took a deep breath and grabbed Daton's hand. "Nice to meet you too."

Chivalry exhaled a breath she didn't even know she had been holding. She was glad that a hand shake was all that happened. 

Korine looked at Chivalry. "We were headed to get ice cream. Do you want to join us?"

Holland was going to decline but one look at Chivalry and he decided to change his mind. "We would love to."

They spent an hour talking about what was going on in each other's life. After they said their goodbyes and went their separate ways Holland pulled Chivalry close and gave her a long, passionate kiss.

"Don't ever make me do that again."

Chivalry just smiled and let her husband hold her. Daton and Holland would have been surprised to know that they were both thinking the same thing. They were thinking how blessed they were and it was all....BECAUSE OF CHIVALRY.
