Because of Chivalry

Chapter Seven

Chivalry sat facing Holland and Hayllen in the dinning room. She was eating some soup that Hayllen had prepared and listening to the other two talk. 

"You see Chivalry you became sick while on a trip. I took you to the hospital but you were so sick that the doctors didn't know what to do. You went into a coma. I stayed by your side the whole time. When you woke up I had Hayllen move you here."

Chivalry took a moment to digest that bit of information. This man had really done his homework. She remembered going on a trip and getting sick. She just remembered it all with Daton. 

"So how come I don't remember you? Why do I have memories of Daton?"

"I don't know. The only thing I can come up with is that you dreamed him up while you were in a coma. Two months is more than enough time to dream up another life and other people and convince yourself that it's real."

Chivalry cocked her head to the side in thought. Holland found it very distracting and decided that if she always looked this adorable while thinking then he would always find things for her to think about. 

Chivalry's mind was racing. Did she really dream up Daton Farefall? Was Holland KInchen really her husband?

It was Hayllen's turn to speak. She grabbed Chivalry's hand and put it between her own. "Chivalry dear maybe you should go see a therapist. Maybe they can help you sort out your thoughts and help you remember."

Holland nodded is approval. "We can get someone here by tomorrow."

Chivalry stood so fast that her chair flew backwards. She glared at both of them. "You two are the ones who need therapy! You two are the ones who dreamed up this fantasy where Holland and I are married."

She took a few calming breaths and continued. "I know who I am. I am Chivalry Farefall! Daton Farefall is my husband."

Hayllen was in tears. Holland just stared at Chivalry. She was adorable when she was mad. Her face was flushed and her chin stuck out in a stubborn way. He loved her this way. 

Her words weren't going to discourage him. He would just keep trying until he had her completely convinced that she was Chivalry Kinchen.
