Chapter Nineteen

Sessirah stared out the window crying. Gavin came up beside her and put his hand on her shoulder. "Talk to me."

She turned to him. Her eyes were so sad. "I miss my daughter."

Gavin didn't know what to say. He knew Sessirah was in a state of mourning for her daughter. He wished there was something he could do. He looked over at Sessirah to find her smiling at him. 

"What?"

"I love you Gavin. I couldn't have asked for a better person to be here with me during this trying time."

Gavin's eyes grew wide. She just said she loved him. He had waited a while for their relationship to move forward. Now it seemed God was giving him His blessing.

"I love you too. I knew you were going to be very special the moment I met you."

Gavin pulled her close and kissed her. He let her go and left with the promise of dinner the next night.
