Because of Chivalry

Chapter Forty Nine

Six months later...

Chivalry sat outside sipping coffee and letting the sun warm her face. So much had happened in the last half year. Holland was free, Daton had signed the divorce papers, and she was now planning her third wedding, her second wedding to Holland.

After Teigan was born Chivalry moved them to Holland's house. They were in the middle of remodeling the house to make it more baby and family friendly. 

Her mother wasn't speaking to her but Gavin was writing her letters twice a month. What a mess she had made trying to figure everything out. 

Holland came out and wrapped a blanket around her then handed her Teigan. The baby squealed with joy. Chivalry smiled right back. She looked so much like her father except for the dark hair.

Holland had surprised her. He was a loving, attentive father. He was Teigan's favorite toy and she was the highlight of his day. 

"I was thinking a two week honeymoon this time to Hawaii. Teigan will go with us."

Chivalry smiled. She knew Holland wouldn't let his daughter out of his sight. "I think that sounds perfect."

Holland leaned over and kissed Chivalry. She was about to be his wife again. He could hardly believe his luck. 

Teigan began to fuss. Holland picked her up. "Go take a bath. I will get Teigan ready for bed."

Chivalry smiled her approval. After her long, hot shower she climbed into bed. She was just about to fall asleep when Holland walked in. He walked over to the bed and laid down beside her pulling her close.

"I love you almost Mrs. Kinchen."

Chivalry rolled over. "And I love you Mr. Kinchen."

Holland kissed her long and hard. They were halfway undressed when Holland pulled away. 

"What is it?"

"Promise me this is for real. Promise me that you won't change your mind later and want Daton back. Promise me the next time we argue you won't pack up and run away."

"I promise."

Holland smiled. "I think another baby would make a wonderful addition to the family. Don't you?"

Chivalry was speechless. Teigan was only six months old. Holland smiled and pulled her close once again. 

When they were done Chivalry fell asleep with her head on Holland's chest. Holland laid there with a smile on his face. He couldn't believe Chivalry and Teigan were his.
