Two weeks after you went back to Hogwarts, everything seemed to be going back to normal. You were all having your dinner by the great hall. You were sharing a laugh with your friends and talking about the things you have to do and have to finish in class.
Just then, after dinner you decided to go back to your dorm to have a good night sleep. You were talking with Andrea and Millicent with Blaise and Caleb right behind you. Draco had joined his goons once again. And then, you heard students scream. So you run along to the direction and noticed that there were water on the floor. And you all came to stop at a hall with Harry, Ron and Hermione in front. Caleb stood right beside you as you scan the hall. There was a cat hanging by its tail on the wall that disgusted you so you snaked your hand on Caleb's arm and lean in to his shoulder. You also saw a blood writing on the wall.
"Enemies of the heir, beware. You're next mudblood" spat Malfoy that made you roll your eyes.
Just then, Filch came in and he saw the cat. Mrs. Norris. He was accusing Harry for this and was about to attack Harry when the professors came in and stopped him. They ordered you to go back to your dorms and you all followed.
You were all seated by the fireplace just when Blaise came in to join you guys.
"What the hell did just happen!?" he exclaimed
"Chamber of Secrets?" asked Caleb
You were just sitting next to Caleb staring blankly on the ground. Somehow, you felt scared about what happened.
"I'm scared" Andrea blurted out
"Me too" you said looking at her. Caleb took a hold of your hand.
"It's okay. We're all in this together" he assured all of you "We just need to be careful" he added and you all nodded.
Two days later, you were at the library with Therese talking about what had happened down the hall and to Mrs. Norris. You told her what professor McGonagall told you about the Chamber of Secrets when Hermione asked about it. And the two of you can't seem to know who had open the Chamber after 50 years. As you finished your homework, you saw Hermione, Harry and Ron getting their things ready before they go out the library.
"Hey, Therese uhm, I need to go. I'll see you tomorrow?" you said to Therese hoping that you'll catch up with Hermione, Harry and Ron.
"Oh, okay. Sure. I'll see you tomorrow" smiled Therese and you went on your way following the three Grydfindors.
"Hey" you said panting for breath as the three Gryffindors turned to you.
"Oh, hey" said Harry
"Hey, how are you?" Ron said
"Just fine" you said finally calming your breath
"Do you guys have any clue to what happened the other day?" you asked them as you go down the halls going to the great hall for dinner.
"We don't have any" said Harry
"But we have a hunch on who did it?" Hermione said
"What? And who would that be?" you asked as you entered the great hall. You joined them for awhile in the Gryffindor table to get some information.
"Malfoy" said Hermione
"That can't be true. You can't be serious with that" you laughed and the three of them looked at you dead serious.
"No. I'm telling you. It's not Malfoy. It can't be him" you told them
"Y/N, we know he's your friend. But he's the only one who could have done it" said Harry
"And how do you say so?" you ask
"You see, who would hate people and label them as the enemies of the heir? Everyone knows he's the Slytherin Prince. Plus, the Chamber has snake symbols all over it. So, it must be a Slytherin" said Hermione
"You know what, you're right. He's a Slytherin and he's the Slytherin Prince but it's not him!" you half whispered half yelled at them.
"Y/N, we're going to prove it" said Harry as he turned to you
"Okay, then. I'll help you out with that. And I'll prove to you that it's not Malfoy" you told them as you stood and walked to your own table.
You sat down your table with huff making Caleb turn to you.
"What happened?" he asked you
"Nothing. I'm just tired" you told him as you get some food on your plate. Caleb nodded and went back to talking to Blaise and to his other friends. You were silent the whole dinner time. You all then went back to your dorm.
As you and your friends enter your dorm, they had settled down the common room while you went straight to your room and crash on your bed feeling tired. Blaise, Andrea and Millicent looked at you then back to Caleb.
"She's tired" Caleb stated sitting down the couch and the three just nodded. They spent a little while hanging around before they went to bed.
When you crash down to your bed, you didn't notice that you've drifted to sleep. You had a two hour nap and woke up with Andrea and Millicent sound asleep in their beds. You decided to change into your pajamas. As you were done, you heard someone talking down the common room at this time of the night. So you decided to go down.
As you were on the last step of the stair, you heard some rustling sound and continued walking. Just then, two people bumped into you. Seems like Crabbe and Goyle. You then continued to the common room to find Draco seating comfortably in the couch.
"What happened to those two?" you ask as you stand behind the couch opposite Draco.
"I don't know. They're acting weird" Draco told you "Why are you still awake?" he added
"I just woke up from a nap and heard some talking down here so I got down. You, why aren't you asleep yet?" you asked him
"I just roam around" he said standing up "I'm going upstairs to sleep now" he added
"Okay. I'll go back to our room as well" you smiled
"Okay, good night Y/N" he smiled
"Good night" you said and went back to your room as he went to theirs.
The next day, you went to all your classes doing fine because of a good night sleep. Your class was done early that afternoon so you decided to go to the library with Andrea and Millicent. "Have you heard, there is someone who got petrified again" Millicent informed you. After that night that the blood writing on the came up, students started to be petrified.
The three of you sat down the table at the corner of the library finishing all of your assignments. Just then, you saw the three Gryffindors. You excused yourself from your friends to join the three Gryffindors. You sat down next to Harry when you reached them.
"So, how's your investigation going?" you askes them
"You're right" said Harry.
"See? I told you it's not Draco" you said "But, how did you know?" you added confused
"Well, uhm. We went to your common room last night and talked to Draco" said Ron
"Wait, what? How did you-?" you were saying and cut off
"Polyjuice Potion" said Hermione
"What? When? How?" you asked them
"Well, last night I brewed the potion and drink them" said Hermione
"Last night, huh?" you stated
"We actually, uhm, bumped into you?" Ron hesitated
"You were Crabbe and Goyle!" you exclaimed silently "That's why Crabbe and Goyle seemed weird to Draco last night. They were you!" you told them
"Yeah" Harry nodded
"But, where were you Hermione?" you asked
"Well, I was suppose to be Millicent, but instead of her hair, I got her cat's fur" Hermione said looking down
"You should've just asked me!" you told them
"Well, you were on Draco's side" said Harry
"But it doesn't mean I won't help you!" you stated
"Yeah. Sorry" said Harry
"So, Hermione, did you? What happened to you?" you asked
"Well, I uhm, I turned into.." she said looking down her feet
"Half cat" blurted Ron that made you snort a laugh gaining a punch I the arm from Hermione
"Sorry" you said and shut it.
A minute later, the four of you looked at each other and started to laugh.
