No One But You (Draco X Reader)

Chapter 8

You were back at Hogwarts. It was still a little chilly. You were at the great hall waiting for other students to come in. You saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron and you run to them.
"Hey guys" you said and hugged them "Thank you for your gifts" you said
"Thank you too" they said.
"I actually brought your gifts here with me" you said showing the book Hermione gave you and the keychain Harry gave you.
"Where's mine then?" Ron asked
"Well, sorry about that. I ate it at home" you said and the four of you laughed. Then you said goodbye and went to Liam.
"Hi Liam" you said as he was seated next to his girlfriend, Sophia.
"Oh, hey princess" Liam said and he brought you to his lap.
"Sophie, this is Y/N. The princess of our family" Liam introduced you.
"Hi" you smiled at her
"Hi. I heard a lot about you. Liam would always tell stories about you everytime he's not doing something. I see you're one precious gem to him" she smiled at you. You smiled at her then you looked at Liam and hugged him.
"Thanks. I have to go now" you said and kiss Liam on his cheeks before going back to your table.
"She's such a sweetheart" Sophia told Liam behind you when you were on your way back.
"She truly is" Liam said as he watch you running back to your table.

Dinner was finish and you went back to your common room. Everyone was talking about how fun their holidays were. Parkinson was bragging about how her holiday went when her family went out of town for Christmas and New Year. Then as if she was your mortal enemy, she asked you how was your holiday.
"Oh, it was fun. I spent all my time with my mom, my dad, my brother Chase, Liam and Caleb" you smiled sweetly.
"It wasn't that fun at all" laughed Parkinson and her small girl group laughed behind her. Then Draco came in with a f/c box with silver ribbon on it. He stood in front of you handing you the box.
"Uhm, Y/N. This is for you. Sorry it was a little late" Draco said running his hand behind his neck. You smiled at him noticing a fuming Parkinson behind him.
"It's okay. Thanks" you said and hugged him.
"Just go with it. I want Parkinson to boil to the top" you whispered to Draco and when you let go, he giggled and said okay. Then he went on his way to his room. You then walk to go to your room with Millicent and Andrea behind you but you stopped in front of Parkinson.
"Actually, it was really fun" you said and then carried on.

It was the middle of the night and you still can't sleep. So you went down to your common room. As you went down, someone else is at the common room watching the fire by the fireplace. It was that blonde haired boy.
"Hey. Can't sleep, Malfoy?" you said as you sat down opposite him
"Yeah. Can't sleep either can you?" he said
"Yeah. I wish I could, it's still a big day tomorrow" you said
"Yeah, me too. By the way, thanks for the gift. I really liked it" he said
"Well, thanks for your gift too" you smiled at him.
"Yeah. You kinda said that already when you hugged me" he smiled
"That was just for a show Malfoy. We're still not that kind of friends, friends" you said unto him
"It's fine for me. Frenemies?" he said and offered a hand
"Frenemies" you smiled and shook his hand.

The next day was a bright day. A little chilly still but it was a fine day. You were going down your usual place outside with your brother waiting for Liam.
"Nice beanie you got there" your brother said
"Thanks. It's a gift from Draco" you said
"Draco eh? You're friends?" He asked
"Not really. We're like frenemies" you said
"That's good. So, you already knew about Sophia?" He asked you
"Yeah. Since when did you know?" you asked
"Last year. When they started going out" he told you "They've been together for almost a year now" he continues
"Okay. What about you? You have someone?" you asked Chase
"Well, I've been eyeing this girl named Natasha Riggs" he told
"That Slytherin girl?" you asked him

"Well, yeah. Do you know her?"

"Not really. But I don't think she's that nice"

"How'd you say so?"

"Well, the other girls say she's kinda mean to them"

"Well, maybe she's just not into making friends"

"Maybe" you said and sat down beside your brother as Liam was approaching with Sophia.

"Hi" Sophia greeted you and your brother and you smiled at her.

"We'll get you guys something to eat" Liam said and he dragged Chase with him. You were left with Sophia and you started to talk.

"Well, how are you?" you asked
"I'm fine. You, how's your first year going?" she returned the question
"It's great. I'm loving it. I hope you're having the best year, since it's your last year" you told her
"Yeah. Yes, I actually am. Can I ask, is it okay for you that Liam and I are a thing?" she asked
"Of course! Well, at first I was sad that he already found the girl he loves but it's fine for me. As long as he's happy" you smiled
"You know what, I have something to say too. At first, I thought you wouldn't approve of me cause you know, I'm a muggle born and you're a pure blood and a Slytherin" she explained
"I don't really mind who you are or what status you are in, as long as you love Liam and you make him happy, it's all fine for me" you smiled.
"Thanks. And from now on, I can be your uhm, older sister?" she suggests
"Really?!" you gasped and she smiled and nodded at you.
"Thanks!" you exclaimed and hugged her.
"I'm glad you're getting along" Liam said as he sat down beside Sophia and Chase sat down beside you.
"Yeah. I might steal her from you. She's my sister from now on" you told Liam
"Well, I'm fine with that. As long as you're happy" he smiled at you. You then got up and hugged him. He was a bit shocked by that.
"I love you Liam" you said and he hugged you back tightly and said
"I love you more, princess"

Weeks had past and you grew closer and closer to Sophia like she's your older sister. And on the other side, Parkinson grew meaner and meaner at you. You didn't mind anyways you were too busy having fun with your friends Millicent and Andrea everytime she's throwing mean things at you.

While you were getting closer to your other friends, Harry, Ron and Hermione weren't talking to you that much. It seems like they were up to something. The last time you were with them, you were at the library searching and reading about Nicholas Flamel. You are confused in a way but they told you it was something important. And later that day, Harry told you anyways. So, now you were wondering where could they be. Maybe they're preparing for what they are planning to do tonight.

You were at the common room with Caleb just watching the fire in front of you.
"Could they be fine? Do you think they need some help?" you asked Caleb
"If they do, we'll be happy to help. But they haven't said something so I think they've got this. Besides, it's Harry Potter. He'll be fine" Caleb assured you
"I hope he will" you said worriedly
"You know what, we should go to bed already. Liam and Chase wouldn't want you to be staying up late all the time" he told you
"It's fine. They won't know about it" you told him
"No. But I promised to look after you. And I'm doing it not just because they're my friends and I made a promise. But I'm doing this because you're my best friend and I care for you. You're my precious gem. I don't want you to lose your shine. Now get up" he said and pulled you up "Off to bed" he said as you got up. But before running upstairs, you stopped and hugged him.
"Thanks, Caleb. For being there always. I promise I'll always be here for you" then you let go of the hug and kissed his cheek. He then smiled and kissed your forehead. You said your goodnights and went to your room.

You were used to acting like that to Chase, Liam and Caleb. They were really dear to you. They were like your brothers, though Chase really is your brother. The four of you are like siblings. Liam and Chase are the older brothers and you and Caleb are twins. It was always like that. So everything with you and Caleb was no malice. Nothing at all.
