We say beggars can't be choosers
Tell me, are beggars all just losers?
No, we say beggars can't be choosers
I don't think that all beggars are just losers
They can't help that they weren't born to be a star
They can't help that it's just not who they are
Mister beggar tell me please
Why are you down on your two knees?
Beggar tell me please
Why we think you are a disease
We find you on the street
You're so hopeless
And so helpless
Mister beggar tell me now
How can this be dealt with?
Can we give you money?
Feed you?
Or take you to the store?
What can we do for a beggar like you
That's nothing more than poor?
We label these people
Pointless and with no personality
Well I think they're just people
That is if you're asking me
Man, I can't vouch for every one
But today giving someone a chance is almost next to none
We don't take the time to think anything like them
We say they are all just slackers another of societies dying stems
So we say beggars can't be choosers
But then say that it's their fault; they never try
Well we can't have it both ways
But something tells me either way the beggars are gonna cry
