Unattainable Beauty

I must have been high on the bows on belief when I conceived of you
I was surely thinking up above my head
Because only in a perfect world would you be right for me

When I imagined your sweet smile there was never a second I wasn't blinded by its beauty
And when I thought of your warm heart it was so amazing I never wanted to stop; never forget
You were an idea that was too pure; unbridled beauty and perfection

I created you in my mind
You; a detailed design so divine
That the earth couldn't bear the goddess that you are upon it's ground
That no mere mortal could accept the gift in you they found

You don't walk among us
For if you did you would drag us upon the ground behind you with your undeniable allure
Your good looks, grace and glamor

Still, you are not here in the soil standing beside me
But, I wouldn't want you to be because the world is full of taint
No, your delicacy and purity wouldn't last long here because you're too fine; so fair — a saint
