Happiness is moments, minutes, hours
Happiness is love, life, and flowers
Happiness is cheap but has a fine
So buckle up pal; get in line
You can be happy
Go ahead get your fill
But to keep things fair
You've gotta pay your bill
It's gonna add up
And sadness ensues
Happiness only works once you've had the blues
And don't try to act like that's new news
We're all aware of the drawbacks happy will bring
Still we all feel pain before pleasure
Yet I've never met a blue-bird that doesn't sing
So I think true happiness is hard to measure
Just be aware when you hit high you're bound to swing low
When you smile wide your sadness will show
When you get lucky you're bound to get lost
And if you want happiness I guess that's the cost
