One mind can only make so much
One mind can only stretch so far
One body is all we get
One body is all we have and yet
We think more despite the odds
We do more we have body mods
We look forward but we don't change the past
We look down but our shame is not to last
Two words is all we need
"Work hard" until we bleed
Three words keep us strong
"I love you" fuels us everlong
Four things come to mind
"Strength," "honor," "integrity," and "respect" they are real but hard to find
I raise my hand I salute the soldier
I raise my heart and let him part
I raise my flag with the colors bold
I leave it there till it's dark and cold
I leave my heart open till its sore and black
I leave my hand up until my skin withers and begins to crack
I allow myself to wait for change
When it's so far out of range
I hope for more people to take their place
To help me finish this never ending race
