Listen close I'll warn you just once
About a life lesson that started long ago
When the water was high and the mountains were low
When the sun always sank deep into the sea
And the little land there held sparsely a tree
When even sea monsters didn't rule the world
When nothing was nothing but the great water swirledWell we were all born into that water world
The place it once was and will always be
I just want whoever is there when it happens again to remember meThe man who once warned that we all came from the sea and said one day we would return
Some say we come from dust; some say the stars
Sure that's all true but they were nothing but nothing without something to mix them
So I'll see you at the midnight hour in the murky blue
When the water takes me; and it kills all of you
