It hurts me deep inside
I can't forget about her
She's always on my mind

She always was so quiet
But she never hugged too soft
She seemed to keep her distance
Whenever things got tough
She used to make me smile
Oh, how I would laugh
But after a while
My smile died away
Her hug would barely linger
Her hands wouldn't wrap around
She wouldn't meet my eyes
She wouldn't respond to sound
She got steadily colder
More distant
And melancholy
I think she lost me
I just don't know where
