I've been sick lately :/ I'll try my best to write the next chapter quickly, though. This is the reason why I need backup chapters already written! Hahah, for the days where I'm sick and busy and all xP Anyway, here it is!
Filler, but important nonetheless!!!!!*Jeopardy thinking music*
Chapter #8: I Won't Give Up
PERCY POV
~When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
There's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
Well, I won't give up on you
Even if the skies get rough
I'm still looking up
And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
'Cause even the stars, they burn
Some even fall to the Earth
We've got a lot to learn
Gods know we're worth it
No, I won't give up
I don't want to be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences, they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got and what I'm not and who I am
I won't give up on you
Even if the skies get rough
I'm still looking up
Still looking up
I won't give up on you
Even if the skies get rough
I'm still looking up~
My arms were firmly wrapped around Nico's healing body. It was kind of perfect how much smaller he was to me, even if only a few inches (he's catching up to my average height, I admit), because his body fit into my arms and chest like a matching puzzle piece. My stomach felt all warm and fuzzy, like when you drink a warm cup of hot cocoa on a blizzarding night. Even if Nico isn't technically hugging back, I'd give my right arm and say that he gives the best hugs in the universe. I can't help feeling that I've said or done something wrong, though.
Suddenly, the son of Hades leapt out of my arms, standing on his feet clumsily and fumbled with his hands. Why does he keep doing that? Pushing everyone away and then being so self-conscious? It's beginning to bother me a bit...
