Anyways, enjoy this chapter I took forever in writing!

Chapter #30 : Crossed Wires

~Don't talk, let me think it over

How we gonna fix this?

How we gonna undo all the pain?

Tell me, is it even worth it?

Looking through a straight line

Taking back the time we can't replace

All the crossed wires

Just making us tired

Is it too late to bring us back to life?

When I close my eyes and try to sleep

I fall apart, I'm fighting hard to breathe

You're the reason, the only reason

Even though my dizzy head is numb,

I swear my heart is never giving up

You're the reason, the only reason

I feel you burning under my skin

I swear I see you shining

Brighter than the flame inside your eyes

Bitter words spoken,

Everything broken

It's never too late to bring us back to life

Don't talk, let me think it over

How we gonna fix this?

How we gonna undo all the pain?~

PERCY POV

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!" Leo sung happily as he waltzed around ahead of the rest of the group, his curly hair bouncing on top of his head.

Nico rolled his eyes. "Slow down you little trinket."

Leo pouted his bottom lip but listened anyways, slowing down and walking beside Frank and Jason. He almost instantly began an animated conversation with the two other guys and forgot all about being upset. I chuckled under my breath. Man, did we love Leo Valdez's antics.

Nico, Piper, Jason, Leo, Frank, Hazel and I were just entering town. No, we were not all wandering around New York like a bunch of crazy teenage demigods; that would be monster suicide. As a matter of fact, we were in the small little town Camp Half-Blood had built when it and camp Jupiter had 'merged'. There were many clothing shops, necessity stores, entertainment plazas, restaurants and eateries, food markets, a child friendly park, and even a few houses and apartments on the border of the little 'town'. It was perfect to say the least.

"Which shop would you like to go to, Perce? There are a few to choose from..." Nico shyly uttered from beside me as he played with the sweater paws of his (my) creme coloured jumper.

I smiled warmly at him and he seemed to relax a bit. I blinked in surprise at his actions but just waved it off, thinking nothing of it. I've learnt that Nico behaved differently around others than with me. He'd become all fidgety around groups of people and close himself off. When he was alone with me he would actually smile, laugh, joke around, have fun, and be himself. Right now he looked shy, uncomfortable, emotionless, spacey, tense, grumpy, curled into himself, and he had his walls up pretty high, I could tell. Nico was practically hugging himself and staring at the ground, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth and scowling, then resuming in playing with the long sleeves of his (my) jumper.
