Aubri.
SHXT.
Running to the door , I unlock it and sure enough, Liam is standing there in Adidas sweats and a hoodie. I usher him in and check the hallway. It's clear. Closing the door behind me, I run into the bathroom as i can hear his laughter falling on my back. After quickly brushing my teeth and wiping my eyes, I stroll out of the bathroom and back over to my tablet, which by some small miracle is still on the bed. Pulling up the blog site, I hand my tablet to him, but he doesn't take it.
"I may have lied to you about why i'm here," Liam pops out suddenly, before settling himself at the foot of my bed.
"Oh," I'm taken aback by his bluntness. Laughing nervously, I run my hands through my hair, fixing my bun as I study him. "So what bring you here at," i check the clock on my phone, "11 at night after a time zone jump of a flight."
Liam shifts so that he's now laying on his back, staring up at the ceiling as he thinks. "It seems that I may have unintentionally set you up for the wrath of some of the fans," He turns to look at me.
Wrath? More like you would've thought I killed someone.
"Oh. That. I don't think i'll ne signing into twitter for the next few days to be completely honest. Anyone that needs to talk to me has my number so there's that," I admit.
Liam nods & stands, walking over to my window and peering out at the rainy London night sky. His features go from peaceful to troubled as he looks at the window and he quickly turns and walks over to my half open suitcase.
He crosses over to my side of the bed and starts picking things up and throwing them into my suitcase.
"Umm... Liam. What are you doing?"
"Paps are pulling up right now," he calls over his shoulder as he heads to the bathroom to get the rest of my things. I didn't leave much out anyway.
Paps?
Walking over to my hotel window, sure enough. Media of every size and sort are gathered and if the cars on the street are any indication, more will be arriving and setting up relatively soon. Liam zips my bag closed and helps me into my sneakers and hoodie while explaining to me what his plan is. In silence, we exit my room and run to the service elevator. Once we reach the lobby floor, a concierge quickly ushers us to a service exit, where we backtrack to the underground parking lot. Placing my things in his car, we hop in and drive off through the exit that's usually set for hotel deliveries, since the paps would expect us to exit through the back exit. After checking that the coast was clear, Liam pulls out and steps on the gas, trying to put distance between us and the hotel. "I may have already paid off your room, so you'll be staying with me until your apartment becomes available on Friday,' he tells me after a few moments of silence, save for the windshield wipers clearing the rain off the windshield.
I sleepily nod and rest my head on the window as I drift to sleep to the sounds of rain hitting the window and him humming.
-
Liam.
Relief floods through my system as i navigate the way back home, occasionally checking my mirrors for any signs of someone following me.
Aubri is knocked out in the passenger seat, burrowing herself deeper into her hoodie as her head rests on the window. Her breathing is slow and even and her features crinkle whenever a piece of hair frees itself from her bun, falling into her face. While sleeping, she manages to find the piece and stick it back into her bun, before settling back to her orginal sleep position. I laugh lightly, not wanting to wake her, she's more like the guys then she'd know. Zayn to be exact. It takes a special kind of person to completely knock out during a high stress situation. She's managed to not only sleep, but be in a deep sleep at that.
