Liam.
After a stressful day in the studio brainstorming lyrics for a hook to a song that has to make it on the album, I hop in my SUV to head home.
Drumming out a beat on the steering wheel and singing along to my music shuffle, I pull into the mcdonald's to grab some food for my wife and I.
My wife.
The thought alone brings a smile of the woman I have waiting for me at our temporary home.
Temporary home.
Ugh. Yet another thing to have to worry about. Obviously we have to leave the complex I've known since living on my own because it's not safe with Sophia acting crazy.
What if I married her?
I shudder at the thought. Thinking about her cheating on me right under my nose and getting ready to pass a child off as my own that wasn't mine makes me physically sick to my stomach. Taking a swig of my soda, I continue the relatively peaceful drive to the hotel.
Parking and walking through the lobby, waving at the front desk staff and a few fans, who were trying their best to be incognito but, failing miserably when they pulled out their phones as soon as I walked in. Stepping onto the elevator, I press the button for the 21st floor. The doors ding, signalling my floor and I fish the hotel key out of my pocket, opening the door.
I'm met by the sounds of someone losing their entire body weight in fluids and a brief flash of movement as Aubri runs into the bedroom and then back in the bathroom. Confused, I place the food on the desk and creep towards the bathroom, where she's sitting on the tub edge and staring at her calendar, eyebrows furrowed in frustration and then slowly smoothing as her eyes grow wide. She doesn't have much time to consider whatever it is that she's thinking about because she's cradling the toilet and throwing up again.
Making my presence known, I fill a cup of cold water for her to rinse her mouth and wetting a wash towel for her to wipe her head, I notice that she's trying to slide her calendar under her and I step on it as I hand her the cup. Picking it up, I flip through it as she shoots me a confused look.
Nothing looks out of place to me as I flip through it. She's got deadlines and other activities scribbled in the dated boxes and then I notice her red writing for her period. Flipping a few months back, I see that they're all marked as well but the last three haven't been.
"It could be a stomach bug. My mom always said my food combos were going to get me one day," she grumbles.
Staring at her calendar and taking in the situation in front me, I know better.
"When were you going to tell me?" I accuse.
Her jaw drops before her eyes narrow at me. "Excuse me?"
Looking her straight in the eyes, I repeat myself. "When were you going to tell me you were pregnant hmm? Or were you going to just string me along like Sophia and have me raising someone else's child? Do I look stupid to you?"
Her hardened features say it all. I've fu cked up and I know it. I can't stop myself, as all the rage from Sophia comes up and bubbles over. She gets up and I grab for her hand, immediately regretting what I said to her. Its of no use. She yanks her hand from mine and walks into our shared room and slams the door.
What did I just do?
