Despite myself, I screamed as I fell, tears coating my face as my hands cradled my stomach, accepting my fate.

She got her wish and killed me.

I brace myself for whatever comes next. Flashes of my life pass by and in these last few seconds, moments, I find peace. I see Liam the first day we met, a light warmth spreading across my hand from the memory of him holding mine on our flight. I remember our wedding day.
