A/N:

I don't think that this one's nice..... But, I hope you like it.

I dedicate this to my best friend, Gienel Francheska Manarang. Here I'll let everyone know that I'm lucky to have her. =)

Waiting

She is waiting.

Waiting for you.

Go, and comfort her.

Dry her tears.

Fight her fears.

She longs for you.

She wants, needs, the touch of your hand,

The sound of your voice.

Oh, she does not have a choice!

She loves you.

She wants to give you all of herself: heart, soul, might.

She thinks that you are worth her fight.

So, illuminate her soul with your light.

Stay.

Do not go away.

Do not leave her, alone.

This cold night chills her to the bone.

She had her eyes open all this time,

Searching for you.

Yearning for what only you can do.

She had strained her ears to listen.

She had wanted to hear you.

But instead of the happiness she sought for,

She found only a realm without color.

Not one person had a word of comfort,

A glance of pity,

A gesture of solace.

A thousand, a million voices:

She heard those in  the wind, each a different wail...

A different history.

They shriek, they cry, they shout....

They moan, they weep!

They judge, they rebuke, they condemn!

How nice it would be, she thought,

If all those voices were capable of singing!

In her ears, they wouldn't stop ringing!

So, come. Walk with her.

Tell her you would be her lover.

Fight for her; she battled it out for you.

Listen. Hearken to the sound of her voice: she sings to you, she had sung for you.

Hear her song; teeming with promise, speaking of love, pleading for you to come.

Love her, as she does you, as she had given herself to you;

Wholeheartedly,

Tenderly.

Stay.

Keep her tears at bay.

There are words that only you can say...

Stay.

So that she can be okay.

Because she is a girl, who long wept and waited.

Because she is a lover, patient and faithful.

Because she is a child, and she yearns for you.
