Poem 11 - A serenade to the stars

Twinkling, blinking little star,

I do sigh "How far you are!"

Can't I put you in a jar,

'stead of staring from afar?

Shining, glowing yellow light,

Will you be my guide tonight?

With you by me, warm and bright,

Shadows will not mar my sight.

Happy, lively dancing ray,

Will you cast my fears away?

With you there, it's light as day,

We could not help but be gay.

So if you will, bless my dreams.

Lend my night your fitful gleams.

I've none to fear, so it seems,

As my star shoots down lightbeams!
