A/N:

So...... I felt it when I wrote it.

I'll be much obliged to you if you read it and tell me what you think of it.

And..... pardon me if the title wasn't tastefully chosen. It's the best I came up with.

I dedicate this to my friend, the History_Maker. I'll always be thankful to her... because she encouraged me to write. (Yes she did!)

A Journey through the Turbulent Seas

With heavy heart and moistened eyes,

I steered my ship to sea.

I faced the raging, stormy skies

Which glowered down on me.

I beheld the clouds stir and seethe;

I heard the roaring wind.

The waves churned into foam beneath:

I risked all life and limb.

As my craft moved further away,

The fiery sky turned dull.

And soon, darkness devoured the day;

Noise faded to a lull.

So through the eerie gloom of night,

Above the surf and tide,

I traversed with all of my might:

The ocean, vast and wide.

The tedious travels vexed my soul

For I was all alone.

But still, I labored on my goal

Because I'll soon be home.

Sure enough, my journey ended

Just at the break of dawn.

A blaze of warm and rosy red;

I watch with my breath drawn.

So now, I stand upon the shore

And recall with a smile

The times when heart and soul were sore.

Ah, it was worth the while!
