Your Facade

Why is it that you want some face,

But when no one's looking, you're lacking grace?

Where's the candor of former days?

Time has transformed you in so many ways.

Why do you gossip and tell lies

When guilt is plainly showing in your eyes?

Do you want them to do the same?

Were you thinking that life is just a game?

   Your playtime songs and chants

   Have changed

As well as your dreams and wants.

   Oh! You had it prearranged!

     Twinkle, twinkle little star

Your hard words have left me scars

     Rock, paper, scissors

     You have hurt your neighbors

     London bridge is falling down

     And you forgot your hometown

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall

Kindness to repay, you do not recall.

     Hey diddle, diddle

You're no longer fit as a fiddle.

     Three blind mice,

Your soul has turned to ice.

What happened to the loving lass

Who used to stay up primping by the glass?

What happened to simplicity

That used to make everybody happy?

Why are you now so blue and low,

Did you forget that you reap what you sow?

Look at what you have turned into:

Someone who doesn't know what's right to do!
