Kanlungan

How I long for those carefree days:

Those times when sunshine filled this place!

I see them all in my mind's eye:

A haven where all wishes lie.

The tree on which we carved our names,

Our blithe and happy summer games...

Each moment gone, each memory

Will live for all eternity.

As I do now, can you recall

Our youthful realm, when we were small?

Green and vibrant, filled with our  bliss...

Did you give it your goodbye kiss?

Is it true that our home is lost;

Consumed by draught, destroyed by frost?

Is it true that we can do none,

That now our sanctuary's gone?

If that is so, then I shall wait

For when our home's restored by fate...

Again, I'll hold your well-loved hand

We'll journey to our wonderland.

A/N: Kanlungan is a tagalog word. It translates to "shelter".

I dedicate this to Kuya Sami. I love his works! =)
