To my Love
I was lacking something;
I was incomplete.
But you weren't hesitating
About sharing or giving.
You gave me a part of you
Something so fair and true.
You said that you have those in excess,
But even that small fact
Cannot make me like you less....
Now, wasn't that tact?
So now I can be
Wherever you went.
What ecstasy,
What joy it gives me!
The times that I spent
To weep and lament
Were all marred
By this match heaven sent!
Metallic, ionic,
Or even covalent.
I won't find it ironic!
We will cry
That sparks fly
That we've nothing to hide
We're now SODIUM CHLORIDE!
And all because there's you and me,
And between us, chemistry!
(From Chlorine to Sodium)
